Regarding silent auctions, the rules state that:
If a loan was planned for that rider, a loan deal must be done directly within that silent bid! The loaning in and loaning out team therefore will be asked to confirm that loan.
As there is no chance to make any other updates afterwards, the transfer sheets from both managers should fit such loan deal!
Does this actually mean we're allowed to negotiate loan deals even though a free agent signing isn't definitive yet? I mean, the rules state as well that deals like "if you don't bid on him, I'll loan him out to you" are forbidden, whereas the silent auction rules go exactly in this direction.
And I guess if you lose the silent auction, you cannot loan out the replacement rider, right?
The rule you're referring to relates to conversations between managers who are competing on a particular free agent. Its a rule against "Don't bid on him, because x" talk. That "don't bid / loan" example may be outdated now, as I believe that may have been there from the time when loans of maxed riders was permitted, and so there could have been a scenario of 'you have him this season, I'll have him next season, so let's stop bidding and keep the price down'.
The silent auction rule refers to the fact that many managers, during bidding, do sometimes look to line-up a loan with a third party team, in the hope/expectation that they will win their bid. That loan in team being one that is not at all involved in the rider bidding.
Teams will need to take this approach if they want to loan out a rider won in silent auction, as it is not going to be allowed for any negotiations to extend beyond the end time of the transfer period.

If terms of the loan out of the replacement rider are stated in the silent auction bid aswell, then it will be allowed. It would need to be to the same team, that the auction rider would have been loaned to. You can't loan the replacement if you weren't planning to loan the auctioned rider.
The idea is that the replacement can replace the 'function' of the rider you missed out on. E.g.
- If you needed that 1 rider to meet team size limits
- If you wanted an extra rider for their RDs to use in planning
- If you wanted to sign a talent, and loan them out to a division that can see them level up

Does one thread every 20 minutes prevent you from bidding in another thread too (ne you didnt start?)? |

Limit is just on creating threads - you can bid on other threads fine, in accordance with the standard daily bid limits.

Just to clarify is that 20minnute period or 20 minutes after your last created thread.
e.g. I create a thread at 20:15, can I create one again at 20:21 as new 20 minute period or only at 20:35 because it's 20mins after my last created thread?

20 minutes after you last created a thread - so from 20:35.
Also have to wait 20 minutes if the thread you posted was invalid.

ok, that's what I expected but thought best to double check, not that I anticipate wanting to create too many threads

OK, didn't understand it that way, sorry. So my thread for Moreno Moser (where hillis has already placed a bid as well) and for Marcel Aregger should be invalidated. Well, you can keep the one for Aregger open if you don't mind, and I'll wait 20 additional minutes The night's long enough anyway.

OK, after discussion with the Admins, the Moser thread stands, and the first Aregger thread will be considered invalid, that's why I just opened another one.

Just to be sure, as the rules don't seem to mention it explicitely: The thread for a Stagiare bid should be [Stagiare] Rider Name, right? Well, actually "Stagiare" is wrong, as it should be spelled Stagiaire, but that shouldn't be really important

Yep, and then if it ever gets to 50k moved to a [Free Agent] thread
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

The new silent auction loan rules also apply for any free agents threads that are now posted in the last 48 hours, where there is only the original 50k bid.
A silent auction PM from both teams involved in the loan, will be required for that scenario as well.
For these silent auction loan PMs, please put the details using the Loan Deal thread confirmation format.
