Wow, this is the definite highlight for Compal this year, we're thrilled that the ToA is finally starting! Thank you so much for the preview and the report so far!
We had hoped for a better performance by Sterobo, but we're happy that Suaza is just 1 second behind Eastman. Hoping that this duel will continue to be that tight |

Sad we didn't maintain the GC lead but I'm happy with Meyer's agressiveness.
Keep it up Marco

Kraftwerk executed a great leadout and a second place for Haller is very encouraging.
4th place for Park is a massive bonus as he needs to step up for the hillier sprints.
Congrats to Bjartne and thanks to Marco for the great reports.
Could the ToA gamble pay off, stay tuned ...

Sorry I mised the preview stage, things suddenly moving fast in MG world!
Obviously this is an absolutely crucial building block of WCC's year, and as was expected pre-season, will prove crucial in our battle against relegation. It is also signficant as both our top stage racer (Berhane) and sprinter (JAC) have committed 21 RD's to this endevour. While they fall short in terms of quality versus the absolute hitters in the division, at the ToA they can both legitimately be viewed among the favourites for their discipline. Whether JAC will overcome his deficiencies in the mountains to make it all the way through the event will be an interesting sub-plot. Last seasons event proved manageable for the vast majority, with no real time-cut DNF's, but this years route may prove more challenging, especially in the final week.
Supporting JAC in the sprints, he has Cisse whose expected role is as a dedicated lead-out rider. Feng and Jaurez are also expected to use their skills to assist in sprint finishes, but also double up providing support to Berhane in GC as well. For the toughest terrain, Berhane will rely upon Koshevoy, Affonso and Brandt for assistance. These three riders also have the ability through supporting Berhane efficiently to secure PCT points through mopping up lower GC positions.
Summarising the action thus far form our perspective, the prologue went well in that no mishaps occured, Berhane's support riders all showed good form, and Berhane himself limited his losses to direct GC competitiors, the vast majority of whom are acknowledged stronger prologue riders. The opening road stage was more of a disappointment, and the lead DS will be having a word with Juarez and Cisse to remind them of their responsibilities towards supporting JAC in these sprint finishes as the most likely option to secure solid results. Hopefully they will heed his words and collectively get their act together for the next expected sprint stage!
Thanks for the reports chief

Awesome to see WCC take the stage win here, one of the teams I really hope stays up, most definitely one of the most interesting projects in the PCT, should they be able to reduce the wage bill on Lutsenko next year!
I'm not sure if you made a typo or if you were upping Booker's level of sarcasm here
But WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT HAMZA! The perfect start of the ToA and our first stage win here. Hope he can keep the leader's jersey for a few more days. Or if not, Meyer can keep it in the team.
Thanks for the report marco
I made a typo. I actually wasn't being sarcastic

Wow what a strange stage 3. Lucky to have our leadout train survive the split and Park did another great ride dropping Haller off to prime position for a stage win and still making a top 10.
Taking the race lead is the icing on the cake, hope we can hold on to it for one more stage before the ITT. Haller has 56 TT so no chance of keeping it!
ToA already a success
Thanks for the blistering pace Marco, hope I can keep up!

So funny to see PCM15's version of a fuga bidonne comes only from a kinda buggy race situation

Stage two was a fantastic effort by my Azteca team to get Keough the spot he needed. Giving us exactly what we were looking for in the race lead. However losing it just as quickly on a very wonky stage 3 was saddening.

That has to be among the most absurd stages I'v ever witnessed in the Man-Game
I'm so glad that Matthews was a part of that glitch though, 2nd overall, so so close to the leaders jersey, come on Michael, grab it tomorrow! |

Stage 3 was surely one of the weirdest stages in mg history but i actually like how it played out as it looked quite natural: Rothaus with a nearly full team upfront had every reason to push on. The sprinter teams had their sprinters in the front group so could be quite content with the situation and the gc teams behind didnt nead to bother chasing harder since there didnt seem to be any gc danger up front that will last past the first mountain stage but also didnt just sit up pcm style. I liked it.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Meyer is doing fine. Hope he will do better in the TT so that he can have the yellow jersey for a day. Ty Marco.

Few too many good days for Kraftwerk here means that we're close to being mathematically eliminated from PCT. Good spot by Dave to invest Haller's race days here tho, paying off in spades so far! Looking forward to watching the race proceed and watch the GC action.
