Noooo another bad crash to spoil the race. I'm now 100% convinced that we need to at least limit the crash ratio a lot, just have to hope it is a small passing injury.
On Campari-Super Dry I guess i expected more from this stage, but on a positive note great that Estifanos Kebede was able to stay with Dario Cataldo all the way.

Nice to see the AI is treating Tvetcov like dirt, but I guess it could be worse :/ sorry for Penasa but that is how it goes unfortunately...

Preety Sad with Penasa crashing, TWICE, that is surely not how anybody expected this Tour to begin.
I am actually quite surprised with Solis, 2nd, it almost made me forget there is a time-trial and he will loose a bunch of time.. but it's good to see at least he has some good form going on, unlike Rujano.
Congratz Aquarius and thank you tsmoha for a great report.

Oh, shame for 3P. No surprise with the victor. I have been continually surprised this season that Valls has been so utterly dominant. I expected him to have a great season, but that Suaza, Eastman, 3P would also have sometimes better sometimes worse days than him. Can't see in the stat blocks that Valls is so much superior for short stage races. Maybe he has a permanent +5!

Awww man, that stings a little bit.
Better to come from behind anyway, let's hope Penasa isn't actually injured and he'll be able to make up some time a la Taaramae in the TdF, rather than being wasted like Tenorio. Such a shame that these crashes had to happen in our win goal race, but I'm not going to cry about it.
Seems almost every team has been on the receiving end of some unfortunate crashes; at least this came in the first stage with some opportunity to turn things around. For this season at least, it's just a part of the game...

And congrats to Aquarius on yet another mountain victory, as well as as Yellow Jersey for a nice ride by Solis.
And thanks for the report tsmoha, and for your sympathetic words for the Kulczyk fans on suicide watch right now.

Feel sorry for Penasa and have to agree with Croatia - it seems anton crashed which sucks Otherwise par for the course from the other two, not something I can say often!

9 bananas for 9 wins this season of Valls
The gap isn't as big as i would have liked to have against Suaza before the TT, but with Eastman way behind in another bad day for him, and Penasa sadly out of the GC fight with those two crashes - it sucks a lot to crash on your win goal, sorry for it Booker ) this looks bright for another Valls' GC win Now time to avoid a bad time in the TT like in Andorra, and retain the lead. If he can do so, i believe the race is won. If not, it's going to be hard to win against probably Suaza
Thanks for your congrats guys!

Ouch, just 3 seconds short of keeping the race lead
At least Kulczyk has a stage win to get out of this race
Thanks for the reports tsmoha! Really interesting to see together the TT time of all the GC riders

Good job Ma Love how well he's doing in what's probably his final competitive season.
That one second over Bennett might be vital. If Anacona can survive tomorrow's explosive stage, top 5 should be possible.
And grats Booker, you deserved this one after Penasa's stage 1. |

Nice to see Suaza and Solis podium the mountain stage, even better to see Suaza move into the race lead! Another disappointing climb for Eastman, but he's certainly still in contention for the win.

Don't mind that- Mr Dependable top 5 can do his thing, Bennett can have his attention stage win attack for a 1-2 tomorrow, and maybe not collapse on stage 5. Jams can win stage four too.
Ah, wishful thinking

Well this GC is over, needed to be almost a minute in the lead to have any chance, least there should be some points from 3rd place on the stage.

Well Solis was Top10 last as expected, but he's not absolutely out of a Top10 fight (perhaps I dream too much )
Congratz Booker, must give you at least a bit of compensation over yesterday

Was hoping for a couple of positions higher from Grabovski but 6th is ok I guess. Expected time loss by Bardet and Battaglin but a good ride from Ruijgh sees him rise in the standings. Hopefully that does not mess up the team dynamic.
Congrats Booker and thanks for the report tsmoha
