Here we go then, Andy Schleck looking to win his 2nd Vuelta and more importantly, his 1st Vuelta for Vesuvio. His last Grand Tour at max stats, and it's certainly going to be a challenge, with Pluchkin, Madrazo and the rest.
Should hopefully make for a good race, and there's plenty of strength in my team to back him up.

This startlist revives the feeling that my GT strategy was skewed, Should really have sent Machado to the Giro instead of burying him in high top10. Missing the points already.
Anyway I can always hope for some luck. The TTT should be a good day for us, but there aren't bad TT teams in the GC favourites ranks. Hilly stages could be a strong point as well, but they are probably too few to matter.
Three clear candidates. Pluchkin showed how strong he could be earlier in the season, unlike Madrazo and Schleck who have somehow faltered. Hopefully this sets the recipe for a great race.
Thanks for the wonderful preview Tamijo! Good luck guys!

Superstrong startlist between the climbers. One thing we won't have for sure is a boring fight in the mountains
I'll be rooting for a home win with Madrazo
Quite surprised by the bad sprinting field here, being possibly the GT with the most sprinting days, although most of them are from the second week, so likelihood of breakaway. I mean, my "sprinter" Stacchiotti would do it better in Vuelta's field than in CT, with a top10 being a real possiblity

Here with hopes of breakaways, a KOM fight and maybe a GC place for VDB.

Strong start for us, Pluchkin has been put in an excellent place, now it's his job to turn this team effort into a GT win... Shame Ulanowski lost so much though, but knowing how derpy PCM can be when a sprinter gets hold of the leaders' jersey, I shouldn't be too worried.

We did not send as strong TTT as we did to Giro so I'm satisfied with the result here.
Nice report, thanks! |

Happy with that TTT, seeing Guldhammer, Galta and Holst Enger be among the five riders to stop the clock only 24/26 seconds behind the winners from Portugal. And what a start that was for Porto - Prio, congratulations, Gustavovskiy!
Very excited to see what Holst Enger can do already on the next stage. It looks like one of those flat stages that could suit him very well, seeing the profile |

Not the best but neither the worst start.
Still surprised that 69 TT is too bad for staying with the others. Can't remember it was like this last season.
Anyway Keizer gaining back in the ITT and Olivier is supposed to attack. |

Thanks, ember! Superb day for us. Our first TT victory of the season after spending so much on this discipline is something I've waiting for some time now. Getting a hold of the first leader's jersey is surely pretty rewarding as well. Hopefully this means our lack of luck in the Giro is past us.
Impressive report as well, Tamijo. Loved the "real-time" style and the table notifications, thanks for all your work!

9th isn't bad. We came with no expectations here, but a decent depth of pretty equal riders, so I guess it's not that surprising.
Lecuisinier clearly the strongest in our bunch, but far enough back to attack I hope.

I'm fairly happy with 15th given the state of my TTT set up. I am disappointed that I didn't bring Bouhanni or Lobato for the sprints but hopefully that means my riders get out on the attack!

We even had 65 TT(Blikra), 66 TT (Robov) and 69 TT(Rojas Gil), all of them managed to stay with our best guys until the end and we beat your team by 2 sec |

Since the Vuelta is clashing with a good bunch of very important races for our leaders I haven't got even a dark horse for a single stage.
My climbing squad and Vastaranta could do for some good breakaway action though.
13th in the TTT is a surprisingly good result all things considered. Would have been great with a pic of the team though.

Would be nice to have an active race here but pressure is off after the giro. Looking forward to see the big guns battle this one out. It will be a brutal race. Nice preview!
