That was a perfect start, and a great way to get a top 10 GC shot. Also a very aggressive Piccoli is nice, although I would have preferred him going for the KOM. Still 1 point is probably enough to land a top 10 KOM (haven't checked how many give points)...
A couple of riders lost a lot of time. I wonder what happened, as especially Kastrantas shouldn't struggle on a day like this.

Appollonio with a great start for Carlsberg. And a long anticipated victory for Dege, finally!

No breakaway, no sprint attempt. Let's try again tomorrow.

Congrats beagle! Good to see Degenkolb getting up.
With 0 expectations, it's nice to see Le Roux chasing the KOM jersey on the first stage
Thanks tsmoha!

Congrats Beagle. Much needed win and definitely had the stronger train this time.
Zabel as final leadout is basically what I am still missing without Groenewegen supporting Swift.
Would have preferred Sbaragli to do the earlier 3km work actually as his flat should see him destroying other 3rd men while Van der Sanden then has more speed as final leadout. Hopefully the game changes those two in the other 3 stages as it was easy to see that Zabel and others accelerated and Sbaragli struggled to keep Swift in a perfect position.
4th is still okay but need more as this is my win goal here. |

Wow what a tight finish! Ahlstrand still doing good but would be nice to see him cross the line first sometime
Congats to our Danish friends!
Plan for stage 3: Ludvigsson going in the break taking over the KoM jersey collecting some nice bonus seconds and get caught but stay in the bunch where Ahlstrand sprints to podium. Can you make that tsmoha? |

Didn't really think Appolonio would be good enough for this level, but a great start from him here. Big congrats to bbl, though I was hoping to see Guarnieri hold all the way in.

Too bad Coquard was too far back. He seems to have a decent speed. Kastrantas going for the breakway could be a good thing, if he replicates it on stage 3. He should have a decent shot at some KOM points if he goes.
Still leading the U25 competition and within striking distance of a GC top 10 for Coquard is good. Piccoli not losing time is also good.
