On paper this tripple-header have been planned to perfection.
Simon Spilak a podium favorite here, with Coppel/Vlatos being the Best TTers in PN, and Lecuisinier performing Well at TA.
This is an extremely weak field. Maybe so weak, that we will see a stupidly random outcome.

Really happy with the field here this year, from Gastauer's perspective. Our home race, so always going to be where we sent our strength, and it is a great opportunity for him to have his best race of the season.
Hopefully he will keep up his attacking form, and be in the mix for a podium.

Yeh, we picked a full team for his January races in good faith, allowing him more time to complete a planner for the rest of the season. But unfortunately, we've not been able to get a response from him in any of the communication methods that have worked in the past. The only two riders you will see riding for Project Africa for the rest of this season are the two riders he has on loan, with roturn having picked out a schedule for them (mostly one day races) that will allow them to meet their loan clauses.

That's a shame really, but I think everyone saw that coming. It's a pity though, I've always liked that team and I fear we've lost a classy kit designer as well.

What a shame, just as we added him to the game as well.
He's been fairly active on Facebook, did that really not work? Quite sad, especially since he has a deeper connection to cycling than 98% of us.

Low expectations for us here. Maybe Hofland or Furdi can pull a nice surprise top 10.

Nothing to say about my team. One crash and Lanterne Rouge is only thing to mention.
Sagan just impressive. A little bit of training and from a top10-15 rider, he suddenly is beasting. Really giving Festina a fight for the crown this season this way.
Was cheering for a home win by Gastauer, but 2nd is still a very nice result.
Borges the big surprise up there having a very good day and a good result for Porto clearly. |

Pretty good race from my guys, actually. Salcone showing his NC shirt in the breakaway (thanks for featuring the break heavily in the report) and Phelan with a nice 16th place eventually. Didn't expect him to finish that high, even though the field was rather weak.
Congrats, Roman. Sagan is a great rider to have.

Decent race this. Bilbao tried but ultimately he couldnt stay away.
Sagan, what a monster! Gratz Roman, very impressive start.
And a small shoutout to Isostar for performing again, shame that this platform doesnt give points though.

Gastauer so close to home victory! Sagan though delivers another big result for Moser, congrats Roman! Borges lovely top 5 <3 Also, of course, a great race for Isostar, no points obviously but proving themselves among the big boys Mugerli <3
Thanks Abhishek, lovely report!

Sagaaan!
Who is better? MG Sagan or IRL Sagan? 2 out 2 PT hilly classics for Sagan. In his way to beat Ponzi's 15?
Congrats Roman! And nice report Abhishek!

Not happy about the result but could be worse as well as Greggy kinda saves it by also finishing top 20 ...
... puts pressure on Skujins to perform big though to save the triple header for Evonik.
Sagan with another big performance.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

At least Prevar tried, and Pibernik 23rd is not too bad.

Great attacking display from EBH. Might have used a bit to much energy on that, but at least we got the podium. Satisfied with that. Congrats on the win, Roman! Another great race from Sagan.
Happy to see Watson also with a very good result (just a shame he couldn't ride like that in Poland..)

Not what we came here for...outscored by Prio Porto of all puncheur teams
Attentive riding, being in all the good moves, awful sprint. Probably one of the few times where 72acc was actually a decisive factor.
Arndt okay, but if Mugerli can win the sprint for 8th..
CongratzzzZZZZzzzZzz to Moser who own two dominators now, and thanks for a good report!

5th is not good enough, but Spilak really isn't a top level rider in the PCM version. Borges should have been easily beaten, but Sagan to win was my main guess before the race so doesn't come as a surprise.
Getting just 142 points is not good enough when looking at this startlist. We were aiming for 160-200, and losing 100 points or so (again) to Moser is not good. I guess we are closer to them than same time last season, and should close the gap further in the Paris-Nice, but still 200-300 points behind them after the tripple header moving into their territory with MSR and the cobbles is really not good.

Will Tinkoff's points be voided after this race with just 5 participants? The rules clearly states that the team must send a minimum of 6 riders.
I don't care too much, but if those 91 points influences the relegation battle, which Tinkoff is currently part of, I think we need to cover the situation sooner rather than later to be honest.

I agree - the decision should be made soon. It would be hard to make a fair decision later - especially if it has an impact on the relegation battle.

Congrats to Moser! Great racing for me, a shame that it doesn't offer points. Young Matej and old Matej both in the Top 10, with Kump and Ramunas making the Top20. Also Quevedo in the Top30. First race where we really exceed expectations, sadly not in a race that offers us any help in the struggle against relegation.
Still a very nice experience in PT!

Another great win for Sagan, grats Roman!
A bit unfortunate to have two "illegal" teams in this race. I agree the matter should be resolved soon and that the decision should be added to the rulebook.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.
