Guarnieri and Boekmans hopefully to work well together, as my expectations are some Top 5's and a nice position within the Top 10 overall, preferably with both.

People underestimated Georgos Tzortzakis so many times in the past and says that him being the 4-5th best sprinter in the peloton is not true, but here he yet again shows that it is! What a great performance - And how I hate Heine now again for fucking up my planning - otherwise this victory would have been mine.
Oh well.. Bryan Coquard did amazingly well to take 4th here. A few more results like this and a decent epilogue could make him charge for a top 10GC finally.
Not the first time we have seen Adrian Gjølberg perform well and clever in the Tour of Qatar

Using Van der Sanden in the chasing and then Bovenhuis in the train seems a bit weird. That said good to see it this way and Sbaragli as first real leadout over VdS.
Though the outside corner really lost me the race I guess as it slowed them down and saw them close to being blocked there.
Rather stupid that the only team beating me is the inactive one, which is far from ideal.
On the positive Groenewegen/Swift worked it seems even though it won`t happen too often this season. Beating the other top sprinters and I expect Swift to be more consistent as Tzortzakis really. So more top3 and 1-2 wins please to remain in the top1-3 places. |

5th is okey, seems like Ahlstrand hade some power right at the end even if he sprinted for bonus seconds earlier aswell.
But dissapointing to see Reimer,Kvist and Kragh Andersen not helping Ahlstrand at all in the finish. |

Not surprised to see Saber not contesting. Still not cool to see
Tzortzakis with a stunning victory.

Stauff found the right wheel, just not strong enough at the end.
Nice with for the Greek, always good to see someone other than Swift/Bewley/Degenkolb win these sprints

doubt that PCM would've given Tzortzakis the opportunity over trained Coquard

Very competitive and down to the wire excitement for the 1st big PT sprint match-up. With so many 'hitters' present, a lot going to miss out. Dege looks like the biggest fail on stage 1, sure he will do better on other stages once the train sorts itself out. Impressive victory for the wily Greek surfing on others lead-outs in his final season at the top of his game.
Roturn: does you comment indicate that Project Africa are managerless? Did someone else therefore end up having to do the seasson planning for PA? Interesting to understand, and a shame to lose Aidan if that has been the case.

Decent start considering Ciolek's positioning, 4 seconds is better than nothing but he needs to start closer to the front and challenge for some Top 5's.
Here's hoping Aidan will be around someday to see this! I also like the composition of the 7 places in front with only Aegon as a direct rankings challenger.

One small mistake: Adrian Gjølberg is Adrian GjOlberg in the results, while AKA is AsbjOrn Kragh Andersen in the results.
Considering almost perfect lead-out for Bewley, 3rd place is not that great. But it could be way worse, 18th for Degenkolb is a disaster to start this race. On the other way this is not the best start considering Bewley's ambition to finally win here.

That seems to be a wider problem either in the MG DB or PCM, I've noticed that Michael Mørkøv on my team has been Michael MOrkOv in other races.
For the sake of neatness though, I'll try to fix it in the results of this race.

That's a somewhat surprising winner in such a field! Also Coquard with a good sprint, making the top positions, together with expected suspects Swift and Bewley. A big miss from Degenkolb and Iberia though, which must worry them quite a lot.
10th for Kristoff is good, can't expect more, and also very nice to see Gjølberg have a go at it in the breakaway. It's the only race throughout the whole season, maybe together with GP Moscow, where he has the potential of being more than "only" a pure domestique. That makes it cool to see him try his luck. Hopefully we can continue to be represented in breakaways, as who knows, one of the might succeed. |

Poor stage by us, we are nowhere to be seen and Coquard makes nothing from it. We can live with a bit of randomness, if he charges to some more decent results, but 28th is horrible.
Atleast we didn't have any crashes.

Got the worst end of that close fight, dammit! This was a brilliant chance for a podium.
The direction is up, 6 seconds per stage will not fend off many TTers though.

Another one where Kristoff is just inside the top 10. As cio93, that was a great chance for most riders up near the front, unfortunately Kristoff had to launch pretty early and paid for that in the final 500 meters. At least it's positive to see him up there.
Thank you for the reports so far, trekbmc, and also the pace they come with |

At least Saber tried..
The horrible news of Hepburn losing six minutes though.. well, still a few other guys left, but obviously a 79 TT guy with okay backup stats would have been nice to survive until the epilogue. Well, well.
Gratz to Gustav. Pretty nice win for Avelino. Didn't see him winning a stage here.
