You can only nominate 2, and by PM (though I'll also accept Skype, if you manage to find me there )

Selwink - Maybe it would be a good idea to automatically add the first 3 in the rankings in each division?
I would definitely nominate Richeze, sure he was 80 odd points behind Lavoine in the rankings. However, I think Lavoine had a few more sprint opportunities than Richeze (Richeze didn't race La Bongo, the big race for CT sprinters, where Lavoine picked up about 200 points).
About Contador: An amazing start to the season, however, being beaten by 'lesser climbers' multiple times in some GCs, that technical in Guatemala, and well below par in the wildcard races means he won't compete for this one: well I don't think so anyway!
I wonder if this will ever receive a PCT/CT winner, as another PT winner is on the cards this time for sure. |

There's only one deserving winner for this: Roy.
Intxausti, Madrazo and Ciolek could contend as well.

None of my riders are officially nominated - This must mean that all my riders should go down in wages...

Sorry everyone for the delay, but it's finally time for the results. First a reminder of the nominees.
| Natnael Berhane | | Eritel-Sonatrach | | Sam Bewley | | Becherovka-Petrof | | Alberto Contador | | Bonsucro | | Marc de Maar | | Carlsberg-Danske Bank | | Anthony Lavoine | | Fablok-Dunlop | | Aleksandr Pluchkin | | Metinvest-Dacia | | Simone Ponzi | | Good Energy | | Luis Leon Sanchez | | Evonik-ELKO | | Andy Schleck | | Vesuvio-Accumalux | | Danny Summerhill | | Azteca-NBCSN |
And now it's time for the results. Just like last year I'll work my way up to number one. So we start with number 10, and immediately number 9. Both
Spoiler Natnael Berhane and Alberto Contador failed to score points unfortunately.
8th place, with 6 points, goes to
7th place, one more point, so 7 points, is for
6th place, 11 points, goes to
Winning the Giro and the World Championships was enough for 21 points here, and didn't bring more than 5th for
Now, for the top-4, things were very close for a while. However, with 40 points, 4th place is in the end for
Time for the podium then! 3rd place, with 47 points, goes to the first ever rider to win two GTs in one season. Alongside, he won the Worlds ITT. However, here he has to live with third.
Spoiler Aleksandr Pluchkin
Two places, two riders left. 52 points are for the number two, who with a massive amount of race wins, listens to the name
However, the winner was never really in doubt. With no less than 101 points, the winner is, of course
Of the 15 persons who voted for this competition, 12 placed him in first. It's easy to say it has been quite a walkover for him.
Full results
1. Simone Ponzi (101 pts)
2. Sam Bewley (52pts)
3. Aleksandr Pluchkin (47pts)
4. Luis Leon Sanchez (40pts)
5. Andy Schleck (21pts)
6. Danny Summerhill (11pts)
7. Anthony Lavoine (7pts)
8. Marc de Maar (6pts)
9. Natnael Berhane (0pts)
9. Alberto Contador (0pts)
Thanks to all those who nominated and/or voted!

Very nice and deserving winner imo, great to see!
Also no doubt the rest of top 5 deserves their spot aswell, but what does a CT/PCT rider has to do to podium or even win this thing?

Deserved winner.
For PCT/CT it`s indeed hard. But this is obvious as the biggest races have more prestige in RL and also in the MG. So while dominating PCT/CT is the most a rider can reach, down there, the MG rider of the year will probably always go to one of the PT riders. |

Well 2nd is a decent achievment. Ponzi probably deserves it for a superb season, probably even better than Bewley had. Thanks for running this.

Happy to see Summerhill get some votes, I honestly did not vote as I know I don't follow the PT level well enough to really be informed enough to make a good decision. Congrats for the awards.

Me seeing the results:
Thanks for organising Selwink, it is terrible that only 15 people were interested in voting though. Congrats to Ponzi!
