It looks like a great fight for the win, going right down to the wire. It will definitely be interesting to see. The fight for that 17th spot is also extremely close and could go any way between Bacardi/Volkswagen/Movistar. I don't consider us to be in it anymore as the gap is still just too big and we haven't made up any ground. Either way, it looks like the MG is set up for a great finale! Thanks for the update.

I think I've got past most of my weak races, so I'm hoping we continue to close up to Metinvest. Quite nice that a team who we've traded riders with lots is doing so well.
Ponzi vs Hagen will be interesting, with the aid of the team I hope Ponzi keeps beating him.

The 10th place seems so close, yet so far

Coming races for us in the relegation battle:
Rheden GP (HC): Taubel,
Liechtenstein: Denifl
Copenhagen: Yeah...
Emilia (HC): Venter, Blikra, Fernandez
Praha: Flügel, Zabel
Tasmania: Flügel, Claeys, Zabel
Lomabardia: Flügel, Claeys, Denifl
Just need one lucky result like I had last year

Well, well, well, still alive with a nice advantage before the final races.
Dropped a few places in the last couple of updates, so that's a little worrying, but overall, survival looks do-able.
Very, very exciting in the top. Can't wait to see if SotD finally pulls it off |

Ahh, what a pleasure to see us still in the top5 of the PT rankings, after lucky promotion, i can still hardly believe it, only three beasty squads in front of us. Pluchkin with some re-counting boost and good TONE, combined with solid GP Moscow and we are still holding that 4th spot, despite some strong races from Aker and Good Energy.
It will be really hard to stay in that top5, but top8 looks secure and that would be great achievement already. But we wont give up without a fight and we are ready to fight for that top5.
These are our leaders for final races, we should gain on others in TTT race and hopefully snatch some decent points in Beijing wildcard race or P-KV-P with Ignatiev beast, it will be great fight with Aker, Good Energy, Tinkoff and Pokerstars, looking forward to that.
Liechtenstein: BAD (no 76+ climber)
Copenhagen: podium please!
Praha: Ignatiev/Guardini
Beijing (HC): Grosu
Tasmania: Ignatiev, Zmorka
Lombardia: BAD (no 76+ puncheur)
Thanks SN for yet another great update and thanks Crommy, Rjc_43 and Smowz for nice words about our team!

It would be nice - But I doubt it. SN has the better team for this final part of the season unfortunately.

With 5 races left, battle for PT crown is still very tight, but Becherovka most likely lost their chances already. Will we have to wait untill Lombardia to know this years´s champions?
I´m content with my 8th place, TOP 10 looks pretty safe.
At the bottom part of table we can also expect tough battle for staying in PT until very last race. Bacardi, VolksWagen, Movistar or even maybe Swisscom - who will be the lucky one to survive?

I honestly don't mind if Venchi and Bacardi come down with us, as it is in our best interests reallly
Though I do hope we can overtake Meiji once again, but Cunego should ruin that chance in Lombardia. |

Not sure if I'm allowed to post here, but nice to see Movistar and Bacardi getting closer that near at the end of the season.

Woohoo! Top 10! But, except for Lombardia my team will struggle to make an impact in the remaining races so I doubt the end of the season will find us in that position.

5 points. Going to be another exciting finish to the season.
Seems like my team is always on the bubble to either promote or relegate.

Go Movistar!
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Well Venchi will not be caught I don't think - the Bacardi/VW/Movistar threeway is slightly tempered by that Bacardi are AWOL. In some ways it does increase interest from the PCT there because it could well be the difference between 6 or 7 promotion places. I have a feeling however TvG may just save Movistar this time out.
It is quite a ncie battle for the top ten with two from five: Bouygues, Project, Red Bull, Oz Cycling and Pendlefluke.

Interesting to see Venchi and Bacardi above the line now.
Let`s see if this stays until the end.
Movistar though should win the battle down there with TvG being a trusted scorer for them.
Pendleton`s. But I really like it. |

Not much scoring potential left for Oz, but beating Pendleton is still our new mini goal now
Winning the TTT definitely a key moment: first achieved goal this year and we're close to 5000pts. Now Bobridge should at least try (!) to do something in Tasmania, maybe Pozzovivo to OP in Lombardia..

We aren't going be Pendeleton...**** **
Every team behind them does not deserve to be in PT ( no offence to Pendelton and to others )

Thanks for the update, SN!
That top five position looks increasingly difficult to keep, which is a pity after having been "up there" the whole season, and we could very well slip to 7th, assuming Trofimov will be difficult to beat in Tasmania.
Seeing the line ups listed here for the races left, it looks like Vesuvio bagged the title with Schleck's convincing victory in Liechtenstein. The fight for 17th looks like a real thriller though, where it should go all the way to Lombardia. |
