@Emre Good for the team, bit of a double edged sword for Dan though. Dan won't rise much more in GC I fear, so might have to help Hesjedal protect his GC top 5.
Not much to be said here to be honest, so I'll just keep it short. Strong-ish winds, but nothing to really destroy the packs, and the small gaps that did result from that weren't counted, so everything stays the way it was before. Cavendish won his second sprint stage, none of us bothered going for it. Tomorrow is the stage in to Le Havre, which could potentially result in an opportunity to go for the stage, depending how hard the stage is raced.
Stage 5 of this years Tour de France brought more drama than expected as top favourite Alberto Contador crashed out, breaking his collarbone. In a downhill section 60km from the finish line, John Gadret went down after touching someones back wheel, taking Contador with him. He tried to ride on, but after half an hour of intense pain he had to give up. Team owner Oleg Tinkov has taken to twitter to vent his rage, calling Gadret a "baguette-eating surrender monkey". In the stage won by Michael Matthews of Australia there were no time gaps, so everyone behind Cancellara moves up a spot in the GC, placing Ryder Hesjedal of Team Cannondale on the podium.
