Definitely not the scenario we had been hoping for. We should've been in the first break and Joseph should've tried to join the Del Nero group. Waiting for the unevitable is not the way to go here. Deserved winner though!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Very pleased with the way Veelers and Pozzato handled this race and with the resulting double top 5. Great start to our cobble season.
Deserved win for Summerhill; impressive solo.

Top stuff by Summerhill, if he continues like this and Azteca attack in races as much as they did in so far they will be easily safe.
And Steurs That's a very impressive 6th there.

Quite happy meeting the top 10 and 20 goal set in pre-race briefing. Excellent job by Del Nero - he has had a heavy race programme for the start of the season, but it keeps paying dividends. Decent by VDB as well - think hill stat was quite an important 2nd call after cobbles from the result. Mebrahtu dissappointing on debut, hopefully just early season nerves, as thought this might be a good one for him to pick up a top 20 - nevermind, the other two made up for it keeping the points ticking over .
Thanks for the comprehensive report TSM, and good outcome for Kent - congrats, although Summerhill dominanace not really a surprise!

Well, fuck.
Hope that's not how the rest of the cobble races go, Maes should attack, not drop.

Brilliant, attacking performance from Steurs. Not what I hoped to see from Trentin, especially in the final sprint, but in the end I'm happy with 6th and 15th. Some good points that.

You couldn't really expect more, to be honest. Renshaw as your best cobbler, if I'm not mistaken?! Given the hilly parcours... well

6 points. That is not what I have cobblers in my team for.

Ughhh.... Very disappointing for the Blackfish in the terrain where we have to score consistently high. Can we bring back Bahir Dar instead next season? We could do well in that race!
