Keukeleire unfortunately in the crash losing a significant amount of time which could indicate that he is injured. Luckily, though, he was only here as 2nd violin. Great result from Tzortzakis to get 5th from the sprint. He picked a good wheel, but lacks the top speed to compete for the podium, which is OK. He probably have that bit more edge next season.

Promising start for my team, just few inches and it would be even better. Hopefully Ginanni won´t stay passive in hilly stages coming after TTT.
Shame to see so many crashes.

Well that's just sealed his fate.

Nope - not good enough, ING now big time favourites for TTT single day thingee.
Gives us a chance of being in breakaways though now.
Vesuvio coped well with being minus one rider - thought they would suffer more serious penelty to be honest.

Yes, not a bad effort considering the lack of De Gendt. Key stages now coming up.

Two stages in one day. Awesome
As for the results, it seems very unlikely for Gesink to win now.

I like the speed here
About the result I expected, in front of Rothaus though, that is important

I'm glad you like the pace. I unfortunately can't promise I'll keep it up, but at least one stage per day will definitely happen

So much to comment in so little time
Stage 1: All those crashes kinda scared me, but I guess the final outcome won't be terribly changed by this stage. Also even though our train failed so hard, it was good to see all the voluntarism within the team.
Stage 2: Losing one minute in such a short stage race is always going to hurt somewhere down the line. Congrats to ING.

18th is good for the purpose of breakaways. Hopefully this means our riders have carte blanche to attack on the upcoming hilly stages.
And as the others, I love the pace of the reports so far! |

My team continue to impress me. Decent TTT that was. Only Sicard, van den Broeck, Phinney and Keinath are better in the 'real GC' than Velits currently.

I don't know why my team doing well was a surprise. I'm just one free off my best possible team in this discipline.
Anyway I've just got to hope VDB can make good use of the time he has over everyone. Only one mountain stage should play into his hands.

I can't recall mentioning a surprise. If you mean the fact that they were just a second off, I wasn't talking about the fact that they were doing so well, but rather about the very small gap. I see where you're coming from though.
Anyway, stage 3 is up now as well

VDB not losing time on the hilly stage is a bonus.
ING are going to be scoring well here.

Deserved victory for Sagan, he was without doubt the strongest on this stage.
Seems to me that Monsalve and Sella are in really good shape. Really looking forward for the climbing to start
