Darn it, so close. I fear the other stages will be too hard for Peeters.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Umh, is there any particular reason Mendes doesn't get a mention in the preview?
To Stage 1: Sobal beating Hawkins sazs a lot, though hopefully Sobal can keep the great form from Istria running and supplement our points haul from this race.

a stage top 10 and 6th on GC is far better then I was expecting from that stage, hopefully it's a sign the team is feeling strong for later stages.

Wasn't the smartest idea of Manfredi to pick the first stage for a breakaway appearance..., but I really love his attitude!

Nutresa'a first bunch sprint victory in MG history. Boom!
Nice to see old man Caethoven show there is still a wee bit of life left in his legs. Intersted to see how we tackle stage 2 now.
Thanks for reporting TMM; the lack of wheels makes for some amusing images as the bunch floats along .

Disappointing stage 1 for me. Sprinters didn't sprint. I may not have brought the strongest squad, but my sprinter coming 74th is just disappointing. Hopefully Velits or Barta surprises me in the ITT.
Good report, certainly a lot better than your Strade report for EPIC

@Cio - I guess so. I dislike photobucket these days but lack a serious alternative that's as good.
@Selwink - You are going to hate Japan Cup, but thank you. It's different to write something of this detail, but fun.

Nice to see the real action starting, Mendes limiting losses for now, only 30 secs off the race lead.

Dropbox could be a good alternative for photobucket... just change all links in the report from www.dropbox to dl.dropboxusercontent , Something you can easily do in Word... Just make sure you make the files publically visable...

Too bad that the game does not recognize Joeaar as a GC option. I hope that this might change after the TT. Otherwise, we are depending on breakaways now + the possible chance of a sprint.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Great ride for us, aggression from Ardila, and ending with a 2nd from Marantez keeping in very good shape for the GC. 4 more riders in that 2nd group as well that are within striking distance.

Very happy about Sayar keeping up with the first group of favourites. Now it's about limiting the loss in the TT. |

Nice to see Zoidl keep pace with Arroyo on that stage. If he can do that on all the hilly stages then it will come down to what's more important the Mountain stage or the TT.
Oh and Schurter taking the stage was amazing aswell, this is turning into one of the better races in the teams career already, hopefully Zoidl can repeat the feat tomorrow to take over the jersey from his teammate.
