Wow. Frames are easier than I thought.
Obviously not top quality, since it just was a test, but surprisingly better than i thought.

What is it with this obsession with Emmelie de Forest?!
Actually, i like the frame, the clean white style, combined with a set of shiny medium profile wheels! Looks freakin' awesome!

Nice work on the frame test, and I see you made your Emmelie brand wheel work so well done.
As for frames, don't be fooled They can become more difficult with the more detail you add:

But you are on the right track |

I have edited a _d file and rename the .nif, _n and _s files. Is this correct and how do I get this in a (PCM 2013) database?
(Never done that before.)

Check in the tutorials section of PCM13 graphics. I erased the original pictorial I did showing how to do this from my PC.
But I have created one of these tutorials every year since 2007 so I am sure there is still one "floating" around the website. The procedure has been essentially the same for years.
If you post the files you made (_d and nif) as well as the current database (database.cdb) you are using I can make a pictorial using your equipment as the basis. |

With the forum search I found this. Does that still work?

Somewhat, that is basically the same procedure followed year after year in the game evolution if you have the PCMdaily expansion pack.
Essentially, this works because you have a database with all the editing in place and you need only "replace" the equipment already included. But seeing as there is no expansion pack for 2014 yet made all must be started from scratch.
I found a link to a pictorial I did in 2011, but it is still relevant: https://www.mediaf...ipment.rar

it is possible to edit the _s files of frames to make parts of them autocolor?. I've been trying to do so, but I got the same problem as Emmelie. The whole frame becomes autocolored. I asume the problem is as you said the _s file not being translucent, but i have no idea how to do it, can you give me a hand.
I've uploaded the _d and _s files i'm working on.
Thanks
shak attached the following file:

this is how the frame looks in game, note it's white because i did not change the bmc color on the db, so it uses the cyanide one

Zweers, I think that has to do with the alpha channel of the _d file.

I know DXT3, DXT5 and 8.8.8.8 ARGB 32 bpp all work (at least for minimaillots). Presumably everything with ARGB will work.
