Finally a day in the hills, so I will have the undisputed leadership.

The stage was absolutely chaotic. The breakaways were coming and going, from the start until the last kilometers, therefore the pace was absurd. When we reached the final slopes Ventoso was leading me but he was already empty even though he didn't really work all stage long!

I started my sprint in about 20th place and I can just feel ashamed for not starting my sprint earlier, because I ended up in 4th place! But with no one able to help me I had no real chance for a win.

Hey coach, how about taking chances with me for the sprints in the flat stages so I can go for the BONUS SECONDS?
I don't think the Willunga stage will be enough to beat Favilli for the GC win, but we'll cross that river once we get there.

Next stage will be another sprinters' chance for win. I can't see why shouldn't I be the leader for that too...

Awkward fail by Meersman. But Alexanre shouldn't laugh so much, otherwise it might happen to him sooner than he'd like. Pfft

Getting 4th is a decent start though into the season.
