How do you plan your season?
Conardo
i am using the key riders for the sponsor-goals, link other riders to special races (all on paper) and give them a fitnessplan. Waterboys get all the same fitnessplan, so i can use them overall.

Every stage-key-rider has his guard. and every key-sorinter has his leadout /last man.

Every seasonplanning takes ca. 1 hour.

This is something that always slows me down when playing PCM. In the past I have always used Lachi's editor which made it so much better. In PCM13 I am trying to use the in-built stuff, but the information available on different screens is really frustrating. I planned my races and then which riders go to what first, but then to do season objectives I am constantly having to switch between screens, move to the right month, scroll, filter, etc, etc which is tedious. It is a shame races on a rider's objectives page cannot be filtered if you have already assigned his races for the season.

I'm still in the middle of planning my first major season now - I keep taking doing a small bit at a time because it is so tedious!!

This frustrated me a lot too.

Eventually I opened up a notepad document and wrote down the information that was needed, so I can just quickly alt+tab to get it. It takes time to write it down, but I think in the end you actually save time and avoid mistakes.

Lately though I've simply ignored riders objectives, and just set the training schedule for each rider. It seems to work just the same as before.

A little extra tip is that if you go to the screen where you can assign riders to races the color indicates their projected fitness for each week.

So in other words, a quick but pretty solid way to plan the season is

1. Make your groups
2. Assign training schedules based on what that group should ride
3. Add race assignment based on the group and use the colors to make sure you've done it correctly.

This saved me a lot of time.

What I do is make a few groups

1. Cobble classics + a GT
2. Ardennes classics + a GT
3. 2 GT's
4. all year long 65-70 %(fill ups)

And then you just assign riders by their stats.... not that hard
