A sprint up the Cauberg would have suited Schleck better, but we have Fleche Wallone for that. Yet another 6th for him here!
Well done to Hagen though. Impressive and deserved win, it does seem to be so important to attack in the first move that is able to get a gap. Super ride from Bellis for 5th too, though Id rather he finished behind Schleck

Was always gonna be Hagen me thinks, his flat rating puts him a cut above the rest in this race in particular. I don't expect nearly the same from him in the following two. Obviously Pluchkin is going to win those

What a brilliant way to take our first Pro Tour win
That was just a stunning ride. I thought Boasson Hagen would be caught when the chase group of seven formed, but it was thrilling to see him stay away.
Thanks for the report, Smowz.

Nice report, Smowz.
And what a ride by Bellis. Definitely haven`t expected this. For a tiny moment I thought, what it Hagen is caught and Bellis is within the group at teh sprint.
Only weird thing is that Passeron wasn`t working in the group but Boom behind...Boom should have saved his energy for the final, where he could have been better support for Bellis I think. |

Great report Smowz
Strong and superb effort by Hagen, I am pleased that Claeys managed to sneak into the Top 10 here, wonder how he will perform at his home race.

So, Bakelants does nothing, watches everyone go and then manages to gain a minute on the favorites in a half a dozen kms. Oy vey.
This season is almost over right?

First all looked well, then disaster in the middle and in the end a big relief when Trofimov powered up to 3rd. Phew.

Congrats ember, this was a great ride from Eddie, powering to the finish all the way.
Bakelandts continues with strange tactics of doing nothing for majority of races.
