Back to back Continential Classic wins for Bernhard Eisel. I got really worried that Eisel had attacked too earlybut it worked out great in the end. He is a better sprinter than Vanspeybrouck and Baugnies, so his key is get to the 1K banner with them. When he has been left behind in mid-race, is when he has porformed pooly.

It also appears, for AMEX at least, getting a rider in the day's breakaway is key to having thier cobblers fresh enough in the last 1/3 of the race.

Today we got Bart Veyt in the break. When we needed pacing done it was Michael Kurth and Fabien Taillefour allowing Breschel to stay with favorites chase group and Eisel to compete for a podium slot. We are very pleased to have 5 riders score points and a 6th also play a key role.

These points were extremely important to get us up and away from the relegation line.

This is the end of the 1st phase of AMEX's season.
