there are like a million possible causes for such a crash.
If you did edit more then one table, you could unselect all but one table and try to build a new DB. If it crashes, you know that the error is in that table. If it does not crash, add another of the tables you edited until you find the errorous table.

If you have found the table, then look at your editing. If you cannot figure out the problem, you could delete row after row of the edited rows until you find the problem. Obviously you would need to backup the excel file before doing this to prevent losing all your editing.
