Yeah I noticed the tank station, that's why I took a screenshot of it. The Floating Station, it's called
Well, the cobbles were actually an accident at first, but I decided to leave them in. |

From the screens:
1 - Don't forget to add road marks. Changing the road texture (color) when the road changes also feels nice
2 - It's your first stage, so it's ok. But from the 2nd onwards, never use narrow roads unless it's a very extremely special situation
3 - The gas station at one of the screens is partially flying.
4 - In the 5th or so screen from down to up, the terrain next to road looks really bad. I guess that happens because there's another road in the bottom of the terrain? (I also see people there so that's probably it). When that happens, try to separate the road points one from the other to avoid it hapenning.
5 - Don't forget to name your sprints (they currently are only "mountain", "sprint" etc).
Not much else that can be said I think, it's hard to give feedback only looking at screens

Thanks a lot, lluuiiggii! Those tips are already very welcome.
https://www.mediafire.com/#w66q1afxi7b8q
Here's the mediafire link to them. But beware, this stage is quite hard to play with
I'd be very grateful if you did and gave feedback, with this stage you should have an entire book on feedback, though
I've noticed a lot myself, too, and my next stage will be much, much, muuuch better, I believe. Still, for those looking for an extremely awkward and weird stage to play, enjoy! And yes, it's almost exclusively narrow roads and it bothered me to hell |

Love the windmills! And the KOM-sprint right on the edge (SC 3), and the cow (though it seems to be flying ) and the road between the moutnains.
Yes there's a few odd edges and houses, but this is a really good first stage - looks like it could be fun to play, though a killer...

Atlantius - Thanks It's a killer indeed
I'm now planning to make a one-day race without too many hills and mountains, planning to call it: Rondom Gent. A mixture of flat racing, small hills (not like the Ardennes) and cobblestones.

"Rondom Gent" is getting along nicely. Most of the roads are finished, so I'll start doing details (fields, forests...) soon, I hope to have the stage done by the end of the week, I'm putting a lot of time in it.
The race will feature some tough cobbled sections, including a fantasy "Kameelberg", which are two (non-existing) cobbled hills, both very steep, short and they are very close together. Kameel means Camel, so that's why: the Kameelberg!
The route will take the riders through Belgian fields, Flanders cobbles and also some clean roads along the Schelde! |

What you need to be focusing on, is the climbs. The profiles is very bumpy. Some downhilling, then some downhilling, and so on. My stages was MUCH better after i focussed on that!

Finished the road and route of Rondom Gent.
Rondom Gent's plan is to take place on the same day as Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne, or around that date, at least. An early cobbled race in Ghent. It doesn't have too many cobbled sections and it is very short for a cobbled race (134km), so it's a perfect warming up early season.
I've tested the race and the profile is very race-able and nice, now I just have to finish the details. However, I might add some more cobbled zones, though.
Profile and result:

Okay, my first decent (hopefully!) stage is ready.
I'd really appreciate it if someone would test it out and report faults back. I've seen some minor glitches myself and will correct them later. (something floating).
Oh, the sinking boat is not a glitch, it is, in fact, a sinking boat.

Is it supposed to be a spring race (believe you wrote that earlier)?
In that case what are they harvesting ?
Edit: The stage looks good though.

Just took a look (via stage viewer) in your "Rondom Gent" stage.
Route seems fine and well-working... spline camera ran smoothly.
As you obviously know how the main tools of the editor works I'll recommend to build the next stage in a real .gpx created enviroment.
(to create gpx use e.g. Bikeroutetoaster)
The map for Rondom Gent was somewhat small...
...what usually won't happen when using gpx.
As luigi said, markings are an easy way to let the road look more realistic.
Other than some minor flaws (hole in city, tunnel somewhat blocked) it is a great stage to start with.
I really liked the way you placed river and water areas, bridges over roads (which isn't the easiest task), generic forest lines and some nice used IB's...

To sum it up: much better than my first steps; keep it going! |

Thanks a lot for that feedback, man! Much appreciated!
I'll try to improve some more, though
Though I don't really know how a gpx works, will the map be bigger, then? |

You just need to save the .gpx from the site, then click "Read bounds from GPX/KMP file" and the editor will read the .gpx and create the terrain for it. It usually creates with plenty of space from the .gpx "limits" and the end of the map, so that in game the end of the map isn't visible
Additionally, it creates the terrain for you, without which it's much more time-consuming to create real-road stages

I just played your stage. It was quite fun! But I have two questions/sugestions
1,Why did you made it as a Tour de France? It wouldn't be a big deal but when It is as a TdF best cobble rider who was participating was Hushovd.
2,Maybe a little bit of a wind would make the stage more enjoyable as it would make even bigger gaps than those nice steep hills which are in the middle of the stage. They were really nice btw!
Also I had to show you one screenshot I think this would won an award for funniest screenshot

That boat! Owner of that boat could sail from one side of the lake to the other in 3 seconds
It for sure is a great stage when I look at it as it's your first! maybe even if I don't look at it that it's your first |

Thanks
To answer your questions:
1. I just made it TDF because that was I could play it as a variant, don't really know how to implement other races in the game, yet, sorry
2. I was unaware you could edit wind in the stage editor, I thought it was randomized ingame!
And for the screenshot, I've deliberately put the boat there. There's a rich guy's mansion there, and he owns the lake, and he keeps the boat in the lake until summer, then he moves it with a special truck to Oostende (the ocean) |

1. It's the same as you did to add it as a Tour variant "topclas_roubaix_[something]" would be a Roubaix variant, and so on.
2. I think so either, not sure though
On the lake: another problem is that, if I can quote someone in one of the screenshots section, the lake looks like a submerged quarry Pay attention that sometimes, when you move water points after closing the water section, this happens (the water goes several meters below the terrain). In that case the only solution I know of is deleting the whole thing (Ctrl + T or click one of the points -> one of the last menus, can't remember which -> Delete selected area) and re-do it.
