This is bussiness Tedy, when you are not geting what you want, despite pointing it out for years, you have to bitch. Because it is your money they are getting, you (we) are the bosses.
In every other industrial branch it would not be possible, because you must orientate on customer and if it is not 110% as the customer want, you have no deal and the competiton gets it (this is the biggest problem,no competition here). unfortunately not many people are aware about elemental economics logic and sentence "I just appreciate what we have been given" is the biggest weapon in hands of someone who wants your money...
And i am not bitching yar after year, i am new to the pcm communities despite playing it for years, i was bitching at home earlier
Always funny how one person with a problem assumes all must have the same problem, thereby making a product 'unbuyable'.
For me, it was a very smooth purchase/download/install experience. The game has plenty of flaws (not many don't) but I don't resent the $35.00 for such a product.
It was eleven more than necessary. Jacques Anquetil

I dont get it, majority of people says it is complete shite and some are delighted. This way, we will never push Canide, when people will like to be fooled out.
I agree! I;m getting mixed signals here. not sure whether to get it or not.. :S

yes very smooth purchase download etc just over an hour from when i clicked the link to playing
i prefer a sloppy download and a good game, then a good download and how the game is now. unfortunally i bought it in a shop.
And what is new in game play? mountain stage feel like flat stage, the pace on a climb is so fast its actually no fun.
They should make the last climb realtime.
The the looks and i talk for the controls they oke, if your resolution is lower then 1680x1080. graphics yeah trees look nice, riders are the same as 2 years before.
There is an option riderfaces, when you select it, you still see all the same faces.
In 2 years there is no progress at all in gameplay and rider grapihics
pcm 11 with daillies 2012update is nicer.
Also it disturb me in all those years that they dont do any effort in colors of frames, why thy dont use guys from here, so when the game is released the bikes atleast look cool.

What do you mean? Put real bikes in the game? For that they'd need a license with the equipment brands they choose to add, which Cyanide has clearly shown they're not willing to trying to get. If you're talking solely about frame colors, PCM11/12 have the auto color feature so a frame can be colored with any color (in specific areas).
Ever PCM game that gets released has bugs at first, didn't 11 and 10, Im sure this time last year we where sating PCM 11 because of all the bugs.
Be patient, PCM is a huge graphical game, it isn't going to be perfect, but it will be as realistic as possible. Many will say well delay the game, with the Tour de France about to start people are well into Cycling so releasing this now and adding updates will make them money, because of the time of year.
I think PCM 12 is a really good game and when all the bugs and the PCMDaily Expansion pack is released it will be a really good exciting game to play.

Yes.. but the more bugs the more unlikely them all will be fixed. Look at PCM10, you can play with the latest patch and you still can't attack, sprint isn't good, and everything finishes in a sprint. Who knows if Cyanide will fix all bugs this time.

As far as I'm concerned there are no major bugs with the gameplay, the most important part, just a few with career mode. Attacking is good, sprinting is good, breakaways are good, bonus sprints for KOM and points are good, the only thing I'm unsure of still is cobbles.
So far I would say the gameplay is better then before. But the game is really only worth playing once the PCM.Daily DB comes out. PCM.Daily should get like 90% of the money Focus/Cyanide makes because the DB is what makes the game playable. Without it, I wouldn't have bought the game.

Yes, I mentioned gameplay bugs because that's where PCM10 sucked. But in PCM12, we can't be sure we'll be getting the old online mode back, renewing sponsors, and even simpler things such as zooming the profile. Of course, even if they don't fix them all it's likely that the game will be good and worth playing, but I don't agree in saying that "all PCMs had their bugs, and they'll all be gone with the patches". The original post also mentioned PCM11, but no, we weren't sating because of the bugs a year ago, the first reactions were (surprisingly) very positive about the game.

Thats fair, I just think in general people are looking too deeply at the negatives and not even considering the positives, and therefore calling it one of the worst releases of PCM ever.
Lets look at it:
There is realistic gameplay + realistic results
Many New Teams + More Licenses
In Game Season Planner
3 Divisions instead of 2
Ability to use more than 2gb of RAM, especially useful for those long stages
Armada Mode (although I'm not too wild about it anymore)
New Interface as well as stage profiles
So far the only major problem I have with the game is leaving out online mode, unless of course any major bugs are discovered elsewhere within the game, but I haven't seen any. And I dont see the stage profiles not being able to be zoomed in as a problem although its a feature they previously had and took out.
And for the record, I still find PCM 10 worth the money.
Well you can discuss it from now on until the end of the world without agreeing.
In the end it comes down to what ones expectations are to the game.. If one set the bar high one could very easily get disappointed and the other way around !
Yes, surely there are good things. But imo there are quite a big number of bugs, and not too many improvements:
- There is realistic gameplay + realistic results
Same as PCM11; reviews so far are too opposite to call if the gameplay is better or worse than that, and not enough time yet to see that
- Many New Teams + More Licenses
The Official DB still has 2 less teams than the PCMDaily DB, f.e., and other DBs probably have about the same number/more teams. As for licenses, I don't find it that much important when the DBs correct all fake names, pictures, etc (although for the console game that is surely important)
- In Game Season Planner
Lachi has released a season planner for PCM for 3 games now, so, as he once wrote in a post, rather than "great new feature" we should call it "about time".
- 3 Divisions instead of 2
Probably the most interesting feature for those looking for career gameplay Unfortunately, the goals didn't seem to be rightly adjusted to it, as some people have said (let's hope they fix it in another patch)
- Ability to use more than 2gb of RAM, especially useful for those long stages
Finally something really useful which does not come with bugs
- Armada Mode (although I'm not too wild about it anymore)
Good feature.. for Cyanide, who'll take some more money, and for some people. It replaced the old online mode (major thumbs down for that), and it's still quite buggy (not possible to trade cards, main tactic apparently is team attack), and the bugs that will probably be fixed with patches (I really think they will, because imo this is the main feature of the game for Cyanide).
- New Interface as well as stage profiles
Some like it, some dislike it. I guess it's a matter of getting used to it, then there'll be no dislikes (except for some stuff like menus not staying opened, but you can go through that with hotkeys). But then again, the old interface wasn't bad, it isn't something that was really needed
Then, there are some good things, like possibility to add variants in the middle of the career and the new race rules, and some other bad things, e.g. still not possible to renew sponsors (patch) and new way to add stages which imo might give some weird time gaps, stage reliefs (mountain, hill etc). All in all, imho, there are too few good features and too many bugs for 1 year of development for a game. I agree though that some people are looking at it too negatively, but I guess that's because the very first reactions of the game weren't good at all.
Definetely no. The gameplay of Pro Cycling Manager 2011 is way better than 2012 - the new interface isn't good and especially the little map makes it almost impossible fx. to pinpoint high and low gradients.
Furthermore, in in-game i can't protect my riders and be able to see stats. I don't know if it's just me, but i really can't figure it out.
