@ Lachi - This is what i do

Open game from desktop
Select Play
Choose database
Select single player
Select stage
Try to select alternative to Tour de France and game crashes and message reads ''Pro cycling manager has stopped working''

This happens every single timeSad

If you have installed a DB which includes a local.cdb, then you might have to install the local.cdb again.

Replace the local.cdb in my documents\database\ with the one from that DB.
If that does not work, install the DB again.

@Lachi - Sorry for not responding sooner, but have been busy with work.

I have recently downloaded the new PCMdaily2012DBV1 and everything seems to be working fine all of a sudden, so what do you think the problem might have been.

Any idea's will be very helpful for any future problems.
