I think nobody will be able to challenge Cancellara here unless a catastrophe happens. However the rest of the top10 he's going to be very unpredictable. Of course the cobblers have a real chance here but on the other hand the puncheurs might their shot as well.
As SotD I also decided to put my faith in my Sanchez, given that the hills come before the cobbles and might provide an advantage over rivals like Boonen or Burghardt.
Given LLS performances so far I'm just hoping he doesn't fall out of the top10 but that Roubaix stage has a really threatning pose.
Looking at last seasons Roubaix stage, Samuel Sánchez lost 11 minutes on the winner, which will mean that he will likely drop well out of the top 10, hopefully he will have a 10+ min advantage on the weaker hilly-cobbled riders, and then I hope the 10+ minutes is only lost on riders such as Ballan, Boonen and Burghardt, and then it will be somewhere from 5-7minutes on the subtop cobblers... So with a good amount of luck and a very good stage 4, which hopefully makes a small group including Sammy, gain a couple of minutes, then I stand a slight chance of top 10 with Samuel Sánchez but I'm here for the stagehunts

Is the Energie Diesal bid to stay in the protour gathering momentum?

Nicely done from Nolf getting a slightly bigger lead. My fingers are heavily crossed for him to go into the attack tomorrow aswell. That could give me some very nice points!
Samuel Sanchez also needs to be awake tomorrow as it is his one chance to regain the yellow jersey and earn us some points. It was very clear that Blaise Sonnery wasn't strong enough to do anything at all in the sprints, so I have to rely on attacks in the last flat stages...
So for stage 4 our absolute dream scenario is Nolf away in attack securing mountain jersey and Sammy Sánchez in a great move to secure yellow and perhaps some much needed minutes on some of the cobblers.

They need quite a result as Nespresso leads them with over 300 points at this stage, and Carmeuse is definately moving clear after this race.

Sadly I have to agree with SotD. At this point I'd need a miracle to secure my PT status.
On the other hand I'm very satisfied with Corioni's 2nd place. I just love the way he picks the right wheel.

Now if Cancellara messes this up from this position...

If Bakelants manages to hang on to a Top-10 it will be a miracle so any points from now on from this race are gravy.

If I take away the riders who are going to lose minutes on the cobbles, and in the last TT, I can see Boom coming in the top 5. If he doesn't have any bad luck. |

YES! Another great performance. Too bad the gaps werent bigger though but I have already achieved everything I can here. Nolf takes 40 points+7 days in polka dots, Sammy Sánchez takes a win a second and 2 days in the leaders jersey. This has already by far exceded my expectations. Well done Sammy and Nolf!

Yeah. If he doesn't crash you should have a podium position I think

Also looks good for Devolder. Cancellara will crash, and Devolder will win |

Any chance we can get a full GC? I have been looking through the riders in the top 30, and based on that Sammy actually got a slim chance of top 10, but there might be some very strong cobblers within the next couple of places

Well, I usually don't post the full GC because it's quite easy to see who didn't lose time to the pack in the previous stages.
But anyway, here it is. I think you need to add 12 seconds to the time shown to have the correct difference between them and Sanchez.

Great thanks
I love to make my own calculations whether it is points i'm adding up, or some statistic chances of my riders doing this or that in a race - I know it's sick hehe...

Ah camooooooon. Not even a podium in that stage? I've got to change my guys' diet with a greater supply of meat
And crap. The gaps were really tiny to my needs damn it! No worries though. I'm sure LLS will attack in the next stage before the cobbles and create a 15min advantage to get the victory!
