With a bit of luck, Gesink could win three classifications in the last stage but the main focus should be keeping his place on the podium.

Yet he was one of the top-scoring riders last season.
I want some wins, though |

Not one rider in the main group.
It's going well...

A bit earlier attack of Trofimov would have been nice but at least he have a good change of a high place in the GC.

I feel Auber really won't get demoted this season. What must I do to get demoted?! Sign Kaggestad lookalikes?

Wow. Definately didn't see this one coming. Last year I had a super strong team here, but they didn't do anything. This time I had put everything into hoping that Bewley did a good sprint. He did...
... But this is just awesome. Samuel Sánchez will probably lose the jersey, but it is definately possible to keep the podium.
Looking into the top Bakelants shouldn't be able to get any time back in the TT. Gesink could easily take 30 seconds, as can Trofimov. Hopefully he won't get 38 though. And behind them I think there's a good shot that Sammy won't lose 1min on Phinney, Dekker and Coppel...
Anyway that is the dream scenario. The good part is that the mountain jersey is secured. Don't know if any sprint points are given, but otherwise it seems that 3rd should be doable there also.
Very good race, if the TT isn't giving huge gaps (Which I'm affraid it will). Last season he lost 50 seconds, which is huuuge in a 10km TT :-/

That was really close and Gesink missed all the three classifications I was hoping for by only just.
But it was a good race for us achieving our first goal of the season and winning the team classification.

Real fun to read the TT, 4 sec on podium
Congratz on GC win to Festina and Samuel Sanchez

So great! Finally we achieved something, and then in the one race we expected nothing from. Great job by Samuel Sánchez who keeps on winning small Tours, just like last year.
Winning the GC and the mountain jersey, must give us a bit of salvation in the overall PT rankings also... Hopefully we are clinging back, so we close in on the top 5. Very good race for us this!

Made some calculations just for the fun of it. They aren't 100% accurate, but I must say I was shocked when I looked at the result. The teams from 3rd til 12th or so are so extremely close, and the top 2 teams aren't exactly the teams I would've expected to be there. I still don't think they will be there after the Giro, but it's very interesting that they've had such a good start...
Look forward to the update. It's going to be one exiting season

Indeed, it wont be until after the Giro that the rankings start to become more indicative of how they might be come the seasons end

Yeah, and even then there are several teams with a good shot at winning both the Tour and the Vuelta, giving the overall a completely different perspective...
Hopefully that is, because my Giro will probably be bad

So based on the contrasting levels of success youve had compared to your expectations, youll be winning the Giro then?

Yeah probably a 1-2 with Ardila and Castaño with Ulissi taking the sprinters jersey

Hey, 4th for Trofimov isn't bad consider the unpredictable race the Crit Int is. I'm satisfied.
