Both the Bourg-de-Peage - Mende and the Chambery - Gap are stages that can end in a brakeaway if the peleton wants to take a little rest. Both stages are too tough for most of the sprinters.
That's indeed how punctures and falls happen. The peloton takes a rest, then brake away, and you've got it.
We've had enough of those for the current TDF though. |

Dont be ridiculous. There is no such thing as a motorized battery-powered race bicycle in the ProTour
They run on diesel.

How stupid can the commentators be? I mean the only jersey they shouldn't mistake, Pliuschin's jersey, since the colors from the Moldovian flag are the same as the Romanian one... but no... they say that Columbia brought Tony Martin in front of the pack.

The norwegian commentators says there will be an insane speed to the finish line today. Strong tailwind and an "easy" course. Hopefully they will take care for the curves close to the finish. |

Cavendish said in an interview that Hushovd must be kicking himself for not taking Renshaw with him to Cervelo. |

Cavendish getting back to his best then - and again Hushovd struggles. At this rate, Cavendish could actually drag himself back into the Green jersey hunt.
Top 14 have been given 3 seconds on the rest, so Thomas in 11th is now justg 20 seconds behind Cancellara.

Terrible positioning by Hushovd. He was way too far behind when they came into the corners.
Renshaw is by far the best lead-out man in the peleton. He makes it so easy for Cavendish. |
