Damn. Posthuma started rather good on the cobbels, which gave me hope... but now; Burghardt in second, Posthuma 16th...
He could still make it to the top 10 though (and there's another TT which he may very well win) |

Aw! Thor Hushovd doing pretty well, but Samuel Sanchez lost quite a lot more than anticipated. Hopefully we can get a stagewin or something instead. Hushovd will probably lose tons on the hilly stage :-(
BTW:
OOT Vladimir Bileka Festina - Seiko
I don't think I have him anymore?

Strong riding from Joly - should be set for a fall the next couple of stages way things are going... |

Must be pleased with such an effort by Posthuma. Slowly taking himself up towards the top 10 again. |

Shit race for me. Hushovd underperforming on the flat stages and Sammy underperforming on the hills. No GC hopes, and no stageresults = BAD TOUR!

So far. You never know how things can pan out.
This race was very much a mystery to most managers, and I think it's come as a surprise to most that many flat cobble riders are still up there whilst a lot of the hilly cobble guys aren't doing better. (Excluding Devolder of course)

Well, at least van Winden brings some extra points... |

Baugnies doing well. I had the feeling that cobble guys would do better here.

Excellent job from Lagutin.
Just Eurosport's 3rd win of the season.

Nice to win a stage... but with Spilak in second, it doesn't really bring me much. At least Posthuma is now third in the points and 8th in GC. Those will bring in some extra points to cover the damage done by Burghardt. |

Had hoped to, perhaps, move up a spot in the TT - but again, a 3rd overall is greatly appreciated |

Thor Hushovd has been doing very well on the overall. Too bad that the final hilly stage will kill him. Samuel Sanchez lost about 2mins too much on the cobbles for him to make it into top 10, but if Hushovd can lose only 5mins and Sammy win the hilly stage then I should be up for 2 riders in top 15, which would be acceptable.

Obviously, you're sure, but the three that stick in my mind are this one, one at P-N for Gomez Marchante and one at the Vuelta for Cavendish.
Going to have to put my thinking cap on and try and remember where the other two came from. |

Cavendish won on the Champs Elysses, and Lovkvist also won a stage in the Tour de Suisse

The Champs Elysses - what a stage to forget winning.
Vaguely remember Lovkvist too now you mention it.
Thanks. |
