Theres been worse. They just usually aren't as talented as Suarez so find themselves without a contract very quickly.

The whole team is greatly set up.
Baines/Coleman are great fullbacks. Distin and Jagielka are decent centre backs, although could be improved upon.
Mccarthy/Barry centre mid is very good.
And then Mirallas/Barkley/Deulofeu attacking midfield link with Lukaku up front is crazy good.
Great team and with no standout team in EPL so far, they stand a chance to fight for Championship League.

They are fighting for it several years now, but came short evry time. i doubt this year will be different, but with ManU possibly really struggling, i can see them around 4th-6th place.
And there is standout team Alakagom.
We lost to your Villa because of two dreadful mistakes and big part thank to referee, after that, 100%, that stands out for me.
