A man who says he regrets his doping and all, and decides to come back to cycling in a smaller team where they are not hypocrites... and he's going to sign with Michael Rasmussen's team ?
Erm, oh well, nevermind... |

Yes. The quotes from the article:
"Cycling is my passion, and any athlete wants to decide when his career ends"
"Christina Watches has a different approach to than the other teams that I have spoken with. These guys (or girls? ) are not as hypocritical as everyone else"
"This is not about making a comeback to the Tour de France. I just want to get back to riding and retire after a couple of years"
Christina Watches says that Jacksche is "definitely a possibility". |

Someone mentioned that in one of the PCM.daily DB threads.
If it's true, that's a pretty awesome signing by NSP (and perhaps even better than Rohregger who was suggested by Roturn and I at the top of this page). |

Well, it doesn't look like Rohregger has any other options, so he may as well take the huge pay cut and go with NSP.
He found a team, he seems top be at Leopard now |

Don't worry, guys. If Contador's banned, it's not Porte and Sørensen that need to step up. It's Luke Roberts!
“Is he (Contador) going to be out for two years, a year, six months, not at all? That obviously will play heavily if we seriously need to bring another rider in.
“Luke would be the sort of rider that we could bring in if we decide we need another rider because we know him,”

And Roberts has now signed with Saxo Bank.
Edit: And surprisingly also the Pole Rafal Majka.

Rebellin's suspended until the 27th of April. So if he wants to win LBL, it won't be this year. |

He's already 39 years old, I don't think he can/will win any important races in the future |

at 39 you would think in his time off he would come up with a new career plan. Has any rider at this age won major races after time away?

At least in modern era, only Vinokourov won it at an advanced age with 36 years old and it was more of a tactical move and a lack of coordination from the chasing peloton. Not that it wasn't nice to see, even if it was Vinokourov; it's just he was somewhat lucky too and it is not easy to repeat a feat like that again. The record was held by Ockers at 35 years old, back in the 50's. Anyways, I guess that is what Rebellin has to say in order to get a contract. He wont say "I'm old and I'm not planning to compete at a high level, just perhaps a couple of second category races."
