Well that was another eventful day for the team today with Gary in the early two man break to gather more points for the Mountains jersey and another Great show of strength in the finish from Alexander to secure the team another victory

Eight riders make up the break of the day so far and have opened up a lead of 4m 24s, they are Bertazzo/Androni, Magnier/Node4 Giordana, Erviti/Movistar, Tanguy/UK Youth, Barras/Metaltek Scott, Sybrandy/IG Sigma Sport, Keogh/Team Exergy and Eeckhout/An Post Sean Kelly

The lead has grown to 6m 16s

As expected Team Type 1 are on the front of the peleton

Despite the breakaway working well together the lead is beginning to fall

Inside twenty kilometres and the lead is now under two minutes

Barras/Metaltek Scott has managed to gain a few seconds on his fellow escapees

Keogh/Team Exergy has now gone off on his own and is holding them at bay by just 20s

They are all back together at the red kite, but who is going to get the stage win

Its the Belgian Nico Eeckhout who grabs the win

They have increased the lead to 5m 31s

5m 12s is the latest time check we have been given for the leaders

An Post Sean Kelly and Caja Rural are sharing the workload at the front of the peleton as they try to bring the breakaway back

The advantage is 3m 10s for the break and unless the peleton responds soon then these riders will be at the top of the leaderboard tonight

Niyonshuti/MTN Qhubeka and Vogondy/Cofidis are trying to go clear as the finish line gets closer

There bid for freedom didn't last long
