Ultimately, I continue to not understand why Rujano gets contracts. He's proven over the last few years that he has two modes. Mode 1 is 75% of 2005 Rujano, where he is a capable climber who can win a stage in a major race if given freedom, or can be of valuable assistance to a team leader (like, say with the Saxo rumor, Contador. Mode 2 is an absolute debacle who is entirely incapable of doing anything resembling worth at at WT or ProConti level, and barely even deserves a ride from a small South American CT team.
Rujano has been in mode 1 for probably 5% of the last few years, and mode 2 the vast majority of the time. It will end badly, no matter who he signs with.
To be fair didn't he do pretty well at the 2011 Giro and then at this years, he had Mono or something?
That was the 5% |

So it's pretty certain he'll end up with Quickstep?
I wonder what that'll bring. It's a very strong team, but I'd hate to see them all work for Cavendish the whole year through.
Sky's becoming quite a climbers team, then. Have they many non-climbers left? |

Hayman
Puccio
Rowe
Stannard
Sutton
Swift
Rasch
Eisel, unless he's leaving.
Also, Kennaugh, Knees and Pate aren't really climbers either. I reckon they'll mostly be workhorses on the flat. Not saying that they're bad uphill, but it's not their speciality.

Failed to read that part...

Definitely not, more like less. Dombrowski and Boswell have been racing on the American circuit where they will have predominantly been racing in America, while with Sky, they will be going to the odd USA race on the calendar, like USAPCC and Cali. And who knows if they will lead.
To sum it up: He's coming from riding in tons of USA races all the way down to the lowest category, and will now be riding in Europe for the most part, as well as the big American races.

Good signing, Sutherland is a quality rider
Good signing. I'm interested to see him back in europe.
Also, Rujano rumoured to Saxo Bank. Just a rumour.
Rujano, Roche, Kreuziger. That would be great added mountain support to Alberto, and nice joined leadership trio for the other GTs.

From what I remember Cavendish basically demanded that whichever team he goes to takes Eisel as well. Cav wouldn't leave without him.

Eisel is having contract extensions with Sky so it's 50/50 right now. I think he'll stay though, however he can likely leave too

You should also add Geraint Thomas and Edvaid Boassen Hagen to the non-climbers list. Plus Dowsett if he stays. They are also looking to sign another classics rider I understand. Possibly Lars Bak. And Andrew Fenn might join as part of the deal that takes Cavendish to Sky.

Really ? I mean EBH and Thomas ( 30th in Tour GC too in 2011 ) can pull fronts on mountain. EBH was immense at the Tour on the climbs it has to be said. It's not like many actually challenged him ( Sky train ) but he did good job.
