In what is being touted as one of the greatest races of recent times, Strade Bianche threw up a classic race of attrition and aggression, leading to a very unexpected but thoroughly deserved win for Benoot. Bardet beat all the odds to defeat the rest of the classics specialists to 2nd. Wout Van Aert announced himself to the World Tour of road racing, picking up 3rd place.
That gives us a grand total of...ZERO points. No one picked any of the podium finishers! Among those who were picked, Valverde finished 4th, Stybar finished 7th and Sagan was 8th. This is only the second time in the history of this game that we've had a zero scoring race!
So no need for an updated table this time...
