Dessel has definately been the revelation of the after the crappy results in 2007 of 14th in Paris-Nice, 15th in the Dauphine, 17th in the Giro and 18th in Le Tour.
Im surprised by how much the likes of Valverde, Di Luca, Evans and Contador have lost.

To be honest i've allways said Contador was crap, probably a negative effect from his manager

seriously i don't know, there aren't really any other good French stage racers than Moreau, Gadret and Dessel
Moreau will be too old
Gadret is Gadret
and Dessel may have enough for a top 10 but probably not up there for a podium. I don't know how old Dessel is but i'd guess 30

yes, not as good as the likes of Boonen, Peta etc but good enough to get top5 or something like that

Of course he is! Rides for Ag2r.
Pozzato was 12th overall in 2007 but unranked as of the beginning of Le Tour in the 08 season.
