Edit "local.cdb" from your database folder (PCM game installation folder).
Look for STA_race_difficulty table
I set 3.5% for hard mode which I think s a good value between initial hard mode and extreme mode (5%). Good challenge but not insane difficulty

Just started a new carreer with Tinkoff-SaxoBank. My main goal is to score in the Grand Tours. Kreuziger and Majka will be the teamleaders in the Giro. Contador and Kreuziger are the teamleaders in the Tour, and Roche has a free role. For the Vuelta, Contador, and Majka will be the team leaders, and Roche will have again a free role. Then I have Breschel for the Cobble classics, and Bennati will have a free role in the sprints. I just has finished the first mond: January. Here are the results of the most import races:

Garmin career: I led the giro for 2 weeks with Talansky, had built up a nice lead in the medium mountain/hilly stages. But Uran put serious pressure on me in nearly every mountain stage.
Most of the time I managed to finish with Uran/slightly behind or even in front. But in one of the early mountain stages I lost 1'30 of my lead.
And before the last mountain stage I had 2'40 left but I thought I could keep the lead because the days before I withstood very serious attacks from Uran and only lost '20.
Boy was I wrong. Uran unleashed hell on Tre Crime and all I could do with Talansky was limit the damage. Majka profited from Uran to take the stage win ('53 ahead of Uran). I finished more than 3'40 down.. and lost the jersey by 4 seconds.
You would think it was over right? Nope. On the final flat stage to Milan I took my ultimate revenge. I would not work for 2 weeks for a 2nd place. So I held the peloton together somehow until the intermediate sprint.. Talansky managed to win thanks to Navardauskas. Now the pink was ours again with virtual 2 second lead.
In the final the tempo of Astana was so high that all the sprinters lost energy on the climbs. I was just keeping Talansky in front by riding 84% own effort.. and suddenly the pace dropped and Talansky rode away on the final tiny hill. Didn't hesitate and attacked, to just hold off the sprinting peloton. Stage win! So in the end we managed to bend the 4 second deficit into a 22 second lead.
Talansky won the Giro in fantastic fashion |

Wow, nice job I've just started a Garmin career myself (nothing of notice yet), but I doubt I can copy that. Also, Talansky will probably ride the ATOC with Hesjedal leading at the Giro and the Vuelta ... at least that's the plan for now.

Well I was lucky with the field. Uran, Majka and Kreuziger were the strongest riders statswise, and Kreuziger had no form.
So basically it was just Uran and Majka. Majka lost a lot of time in the hilly stages... so after 5 stages only Uran was left as serious competitor.
Even Kelderman was in the top 4 for most of the giro (collapsed in the final mt stage) |

Getting back into the PCM spirit (and cycling really). I've spent the day downloading the 2014 db, which also required the Expansion pack, hence the all day part
Anyway, decided I'd start a Lampre career since they are always one of my favourites, and I really like their jersey this year. First thing I did was release Horner
With that extra space I brought back Ballan as well as Pibernik from Free Agency.
Im hoping to get one last good season out of Cunego and Ballan, and hopefully Ulissi and Costa can do well in the classics.

Hmm, doesn't Ballan have 'an injury' from the start. If so, you have a problem

Yep Didn't even check before I signed him. Well that sucks.
Best results so far is Ulissi 2nd at TDU and 2nd on both hilly stages (1st and Willunga Stage)

Hey, can anyone tell me how I could add Team ASDA-Savers to the database so I could chose it as a custom team in Career Mode?

So I get quite a lot of complaints about too few races. How many race days per month/quarter/year are enough and perfect for the riders to be quiet and satisfied?

I prefer as maximum for my teamleaders 70-85 racedays. For my domenestiques i has 90 as max and for my talents 50-60 and not to much WT. I also prefer that each rider rides min. one grand tour. And also a good tip which i use: If your teamleader's goal for example the Giro, i will start his season in Paris-Nice/Tirreno or Catalunya. So he is at his freshed.

Thanks. So you have a very good value in terms of Satisfaction Race Quantity? Getting my team up to 85 race days will be weird... I'm used to keeping them at 60-70 from PCM 2012.
