Started new project called Festina Cycling Team with it's own website. I really have some free time and i am really enjoying in story writing , so tried to something new. Somehow , my site crashed after doing all of this. 
Will probably give a try with same team in few months, after 2014 DB gets released. |

Thanks for the good wishes people. Trying to look on the bright side, i'm not dying (yet) and seem to have kicked my SAD in the face for the last month or so.
And it gives me a lot more reason to PCM and Daily seeing as i shouldn't exercise. Silver linings and all..

This happens most of the time it seems... less really is more in that case. We know the Admins are tight on the, so why push it when you know there is a chance it will just get deleted.
But as always when it happens, a message or a warning would be much appreciated!

(not exactly light hearted content below)
I should clarify, my Handball injury is torn cartilage in my knee which i did back in March/April. It is not a major tear and is not (at the moment) getting any worse. My doctor would just prefer me to not take the risk of making the tear worse, hence his wish to ban me from playing.
I'm all against stopping because this years Nationals come with increased significance for me. Last year we had a GB scout come and watch our teams a few times and he said that I had the basics down and that in a year or two i could be a very good player. Through my work with GB and England Handball i've had various extra sessions with GB trainers and players and the feedback has only every been positive.
A scout got in contact with us a few weeks ago after a league match and will be following us and another uni team at the Nationals. Basically if i can put in a goof performance then i get into the development programme. So why not just wait a year?
Well next year the Handball team might not exist. Currently we are only 14 people with no funding. 6 of the guys are leaving the Uni after this year taking us down to 8. Unless we can get our numbers up to 20 by October 2014 we will not get any funding. Without proper funding we will not be able to continue existing next year, as this season is draining our committee dry.
So it's go to Nationals and try to impress for the Scout. Or give up playing Handball for two-three years and miss my chance to get into any sort of GB funded programme
My ban from cycling (and siting sport) is a totally unrelated condition that does not stop me playing Handball. It's a mostly minor problem but one that can only be fixed with a surgery. Of course something like that does the have the potential to be a bigger issue, but i won't know that until the New Year when i can get some more tests done. Worst case scenario is fairly bad (multiple surgeries and 4-5 year recover time if at all) but the most common result is a one-day surgery and a week of awkward sitting. Equally it is not something i can really make worse by cycling, just that it does cause discomfort and could cause a secondary problem down the line.
I am stopping cycling until i get more tests done in 2014 and know how serious the issue actually is.
All of which is compounded by a previous experience, where i missed out on my absolute dream job because i had a Cold on the assessment weekend and had to leave part way through. I will not miss out on the next best opportunity i've ever had so easily.

I tried to delete all of them before banning him to avoid any thread bug.
In the end I think he still had 2 threads up which just opened when I banned him. But as it is in the PCM12 story sections I am quite sure that there will be another post soon to avoid the bug.
Next time please don`t react to those spams as it`s just making it more difficult to identify the spam threads...even though this time it was very obvious.  |
