Hi everyone!
It feels so good to be back. I reckon you heard the news already from Stijn? I'm not only back in the peloton but also on this blog, obviously!
Triathlon was a nice experience, but in the end my heart lays on the road (don't take this too literally). If the team allows it, I'll pick up where I left off. I definitely will race Californian Road, with Stijn, and then I'll probably move on to the Dauphiné and then the Tour. My spot is pretty much guaranteed. This team has been nothing but good to me, I will remember this! After the Tour, we'll have to see. The Tour is obviously my big target now!
Oh, and in case you're interested, I won two races in triathlon, however, I could've won much more if it weren't for that swimming!
See you in America,
Willy |

Californian Road - Stage 1
California. How can anyone not love this environment? We're surrounded by Hollywood, desert, freedom and schwarzenegger! Last year, Andy Schleck had the upper hand. He's here again today!
We're both back after a long break from racing. Our racing form isn't too good so we're starting here with lowered expectations.
Stijn: I'm looking just to stay on my bike and go for every sprint possible. A stage win would be nice but given my current form, it's not required.
Willy: It's been a while since I raced in a peloton. The first days I'll be trying not to lose time. I'm particularly looking forward to the fifth stage, the time trial, and the seventh stage, the mountainous one. The general classification is not an objective.
Willy Wouters
It felt really good being back in the peloton. I'm getting a lot of positive response and respect by many. Andy Schleck came to welcome me back personally, Cancellara laughed sympathetic like only he can smile...
Jan Ghyselinck decided to go in the offense. He got company of three other riders. After the race he'd be tied in the Mountain Classification.
Stijn Van Gent
It's strange to share this blog again, but we're trying a new variant of the lay-out here. Anyhow, today was harder than expected. Team Saxo - Bank is keen on getting Contador the overall victory.
They made the race much harder than it had to be and the peloton was constantly stretched out. Very dangerous for losing time today! Staying at the front cost me much energy!
They breakaway was caught well before the finish and the sprint was off. Team Sky was looking to dominate here! I took a fast start but I'm missing those extra 5% to keep it up.
Although, in the end, it's Rojas who crossed the line first. Take a look at how close it was. I finish fourth, but I easily could've been 10th. Still happy with the result!

Overall a pretty good day. There were some crashes but we managed to avoid bad luck so far. tomorrow is hillier and we wouldn't be surprised if a much smaller group would make the finish.
See you then,

maxime86 - I'm afraid I'm not too good with downloading stages and putting them as a right variant. So far I've successfully done that once, and failed many times more Even so I once ended up with Gent - Wevelgem variant as first Tour de France stage |

Spoiler Due to lagging problems, I only played about 20 km. I took a couple of screenshot, quit the game and quick-simmed it...
Californian Road - Stage 2
Stijn:Today is just about finishing. I'm in no shape to compete for the Points jersey so I will be taking it easy all day long.
Willy: Like I said earlier, my priority lays with the time trial and the mountain stage. Today I hope not to lose any time!
Stijn Van Gent
I hung on fine for a while there. I didn't push my limits so I finished 9 minutes down. Nothing important happened.
Willy Wouters
Jan Ghyselinck tried breaking away to get a lead in the mountain classification. Unfortunately the racing was hard today and he didn't get a chance to.
My form is definitely at a low point. But I'm not worried (yet). I hope the Dauphiné will be much better already. However, all my career I've loved racing in the USA, and I also did some triathlons here. It seems I'm building quite a fan-base here!
My race wasn't perfect, though. The general classification is down the toilet.

A tough day for the both of us today. Stijn's on a nice place in the General Classification. Maybe it'd be nice fighting for that nice number! Willy didn't really deliver, but nobody expected him here. He'll be there for the Tour, count on that!
