Good to see my team placing a rider in the break. On the other hand it's shame to see Allonca go, even though that was the best decision for both he him and the team.
Now, back to that GC fight...

You'd have thought my riders would go for breakaways with no sprinter and no big name for the GC in the team...
It's a shame Van der Velde crashed. He could have a rode a decent GC. And to top it, he also seems to be injured.

Too bad we weren't able to chase down the breakaway, even though even Antón sacrificed himself. Now it's all about breakaways for us as well, hopefully we'll at least start trying.

I really hope Pluchkin can turn the deficit over when we get to the mountains. I will be extremely dissapointed if I end up losing this race by less than that 2 min+ margin he lost in the stage where he just did nothing.

Constant attacking riding is entertaining, and the KotM lead as well as a second place there is great. It would be amazing if we came away with a jersey. Not too bothered about the overall so Samwel losing time isn't too bad as long as it encourages him to attack. |

Finally Vesuvio had a good stage with Paterski. Pity the KoM lead lasted only 1 day!

Really good effort from Prevar there in the last stage - very nice to infiltrate the breaks.
I wonder whether stage 13 will be ridden agressively by the GC guys - I am obviously hopiung for a passive one before the reallyt difficult stuff coming up.

Prevar is fun to watch, just like Topchanyuk was last year.
I predict he'll become the Ukrainian champion and fail next year being a leader.

At least he did finally a bit.
But he better attacks in the mountains earlier than the favorites. |

I really need to put some guys in these breakaways. rjc just takes it all with his semigood riders... I need more Boily, Dees, Caruso action.
Ricco did well today, closing the gap to Madrazo, who is clearly the man to stay with for him. Sella taking a bit of time doesn't matter too much. Ricco should be better on both TTs and hills, and even in the mountains the difference shouldn't be more than the 3'40 gap Ricco has at the moment...
It was a bit problematic that Alarcon managed to take some time though, as he will clearly take time on the high mountains. Taking 40 seconds on Dan Martin, Yuri Trofimov, Markus Fothen and Vincenzo Nibali is absolutely brilliant though!
Also a huuuuuge thumbs up for the effectiveness that you guys are putting into this at the moment. It is a true joy to be part of the Man-Game, especially in periods like these, where I check PCM.Daily numerous times a day, to see if a new stage is up. So thanks a lot!

Brambilla doing a rather anonymous race so far.

Ahh, this feels more like the team I've always dreamt about. Winning willy-nilly with a whole host of different riders.

Looks better and better for Cunego, Pluchkin seems to have found now his rythm.

What a stage by Cunego! Suddenly his lead seems somewhat comfortable, but let's wait and see how the mountains play out.
A shame Antón crashed, I just hope he isn't injured, then he can hopefully be seen attacking in the final week. |

Hmm, it looked way better for my José at times during this stage... Still Rujano should go above Dombrowski, Ponzi and Bakelants for sure, so that's another 3 places he needs to better his current GC position to accomplish the goal here. It will be really, really hard thing to do for him, he will likely fail to do that. Bad times are coming with my next's year budget...

Jose is really on fire, tremendous stage from him and somewhat emotional that he and Sella came in together. Cunego looking good to win this, but you still wonder in the high mountains if he will be found out. That said Madrazo is not the unbeatable force he once was by the looks.
Congrats to good energy they are having a great giro.

Well that's down to infamous Cya logic. Pluchkin and Madrazo simply didn't respond to Cunego's attack. So dissapointing to lose this race because of something like that.

VDB now just one spot outside the top 10. With a TT to come where he performed well last time I'm pretty confident. I would have liked to put more time into Fothen there though.

The climbing depth is certainly paying off this year for you. You have some Good Energy flowing.
Shame that Metinvest riders does not try to get in the breaks, because Popovych is not able to get more than some 20th place in GC and there is room for action.
