Game is pretty playable with 1.0.2.0. Pity that PCMDaily is waiting for 1.0.4.0 to release the patch but there's a very understandable reason.
It's not like we're sitting around doing nothing waiting for the patch. Work on the DB is still being done every day (but obviously if the patch was released a month ago we'd have adjusted the work put on it).
I knew that my post may sound whiny or agressive, but I'm just blaming Cyanide, because I think that you are ready to release very good database for some period of time. |

Oh, don't worry, I didn't read your post that way But I guess I chose the words badly, since re-reading what I wrote it looks like I read what you wrote that way (but I didn't), if that makes sense

Glad to know. Because I definitely didn't want to "piss off" one of the most positive and helpful members here. |

We're not just waiting on Cyanide, but as lluuiiggii said. we're adjusting to Cyanide's release.
My estimation would be that the DB is released no more than a week after the patch, but it's a decision that we'll take when relevant |

To be fair there's a large amount of people that never find sites like Daily or Focus and play only with the orginal DB so I think it's good they fix some stuff at least.
This patch looks proper ( let's hope it's like that in reality ) - however this patch should have been a day one patch, not two months after.

I forgot, are the patches distributed and downloaded automatically by PCM?
If not, people who are unaware of PCM communities and databases are most likely equally unaware of patches being released by Cyanide.

When you launch PCM, it automatically informs you that there's an update available.

Hi guys, just a question: when the 1.0.4.0 is going to be released?
no, I'm joking, my real question is: once the update will be released (in a week or in a year, it doesn't matter), will I need to change also the db file on the \Documents\Pro Cycling Manager 2013\Mod\Database folder, or can I continue with the same I'm using now?
This information is for me very important, because I would know if I can do improvements to the db as I wait for the 1.0.4 patch
Thanks in advance for the answer, bye! |

If they are correcting things in the DB, then I think a new DB will be implemented. But, if you make a copy or rename your DB (if you are editing the original one) you should be fine. Maybe even cyanide will have the new DB with a different name.
You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you! God damn you all to hell!

actually, I'm working on the Pack_ITA db, but the only thing I'm really waiting for the new patch is the partecipation of WT to continental races (I don't care a lot about riders features). So, do you think that I'll still have to change db to have WT teams in minor races, or can I continue with my db with the new patch too? |

Anyway i am probably done with this game and Cyanide for good, even not interested in patch much now after so much waiting. Rather going to play EU IV, where Paradox listens to community and brings major improving patch month after the release.

yeah it's a shame really, legendary lame game developers. too bad the concept of a cycling manager game is so good and the potential too great for one to just forget about it. btw, any news about the res-stat, it won't be working with the new patch either? so it IS really a sales strategy; next year we'll improve...yeah right! they're really snapping at the same hand that feeds them. without your work here at daily, cycling manager would be the most crappy game ever, and they still doesn't appreciate it... nielstrung for the win

Now that's hilarious.
I love how he says that sometimes he just likes to drive through the levels and then proceed to drive through the buildings, a feature they stole from Cyanide by the way.

and it's funny also when it speaks about a large amount of something like 4 (!!!) truck to choose
btw, I repeat my question about the db: once I'll upgrade to 1.0.4 patch, if I continue to use an ancient db version, the bug of WT teams don't participating to minor races still remain? |
