Bah, it really really really sucks Anton dropped out
Probably the first time I agree with you about Anton, that sucks - and I would hate Nibali winning it, my hopes are on Fränk an Tondo
Its extremely unlikely that Frank Schleck will gain not only his current 2 minute deficit to Nibali and Rodriguez, but also then enough to cater for losses in the time trial.

Its really the worst possible luck losing both Martinez and Anton in one move. Dont think ive ever seen anything like that.

Almost the same for Tondo, but as I wrote, I hope for them and hope dies last. I also don't see a realistic chance for Rodriquez, his TT is just too bad. |

Anton has fallen, it was his fault. Cyclists should be careful about these things if they want to win
Why was not with the team in front of the group?

IMHO, the celebration was sort of a "let's turn a blind eye and forget Anton was ever there" thing
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Im not looking at CQ or Cyclingnews at the moment as it will probably tell me who won the Tour of Britain stage - but am I wrong in thinking that Rodriguez' Pais Vasco ITT this years wasnt that bad?

The Pais Vasco TT is hilly and short, the one in the vuelta this year is flat as a pancake and long. Not anything that suits Rodriguez.

Sadly, I have to agree. Schleck needs at least a half minute on Nibali so he needs to gain almost 3 minutes on him in total. He can compete with other riders in the time trial who are in front of him in the overall classification though. But can he gain 3 minutes on Nibali and at least 1"30' to other riders in front of him in the form which he showed so far? I think he can't.

It reminded me a bit on Joseba Beloki. Jaksche waited for him although he was quite well in GC, too. 7th or something like this. So just one abandon but two guys out of GC.
Always stupid if these things happen. |

You're right but it was only 22km and hilly, so I don't think it's comparable |

First, I was a bit annoyed by not being able to follow the race until there was just 0.7 km to go.
Second, I was annoyed by seeing Rodriguez win.
Third, I was told that Anton had abandoned...
Oh well, interesting stage coming up |

I might guess
Anton on the wheel of Martinez, Bruseghin behind him. Anton touches Martinez rear wheel, and down they went. Shame
Anyway, after doing more thinking about who will win the overall, I'm tempted to say that Tondo will take it. Simply because he has shown great form, and the mountains which is left is longer, and more for a Tondo than anything so far except Andorra has been. And what happened on Andorra? He took 13 seconds on Nibali.
It will be a really close race I think |
