I think the hype within the NL isn't as big as you're saying, Luigi.
I barely heard anyone here say that we're a favourite now.
I don't think so either

The Dutch are one of them team that people just expect to get far in tournaments, along with Germany,Brazil ,Argentina ,etc .and when they get knocked out early on its a shock

In holland ( ) it really is that overhyped.
Meanwhile Del Bosque subbed David Villa, I thougtnthat the point of soccer was to score more goals then the other teams. Wonder if Del Bosque knows that

of course, the miracle happens and I'm not around to watch it. I might now never get to see Torres scoring. it's such a rare thing to see
almost as rare as Froome not looking at his stem

He's just having fun trolling his fellow citizens (Jesleyh), me thinks. Oh, and it's kinda mainstream to support best teams on this WC, as many South American and African teams showed some class too, so everyone is suddenly supporting them, which is once again normal as they're very likeable.

Yeah, Holland indeed.
I live in Drenthe, people are different(normal) here
Anyway, nice win. Not great football, but effective. I'm fine with that. Some others aren't, but that's ok

Robben & Depay, great chemistry between the two. That goal, so good! But the kick was overall quite boring to watch. Had expected more from both teams.
Hm, dutch fans on this board continue to bitch and moan about their national team. If you want easy medals for Netherlands, go back to your ice skating. Sounds to me like you lot are expecting some reincarnation of eleven Cruyffs on the pitch, whom other teams just bow down to. Meanwhile, you can complain about having to endure some apparent amateur team straigth from Kindergarten, who gave Spain a rubdown & put Chile back into reality (@Luigi: Those guys were already talking about becoming World Champion by the way, but of course, that's their right since we are at a world championship and every team here wants to win )

How's that? Same points, same goal average, but Brazil has more goals scored, so how is Mexico the new leader? |
