Wow, Enrico Battaglin is absolutely on fire this year.
What is he to Giovanni Battaglin? Son? Nephew?

Porte wins, then.
WTF
Great performance, sure, but....either it was the wind that did it, or his split times are the most mistifying ones I've ever seen in my life.

I caught it out of the corner of my eye as Moreau was going past. The commentators mentioned it later when they started getting a couple of mails.
Wouldn't mind seeing it again. |

WTF ?
Porte was something like 40-50 seconds faster than everyone else in the second part of the TT.
Surely that can't be right. |

I wondered why the motorbike was beeping the horn so vigourously and thought i saw something so re-winded and there was a cyclist giving one of the race stewards a full blown haymaker
Tyson would have been proud of that one

HTC-Columbia pulled Cavendish out of the Tour of Romandie because of his gesture following the stage win yesterday. He also got a fine (not from the team).
Maybe a bit harsh but deserved.

No more pure sprinters stages.
Something tells me Cavendish won't care.

Meh, the last 2 stages were never likely to be Cavendish stages anyway

I don't think he should be punished. Of course I didn't think the guy in the link should have been relegated for his salute earlier this year at a local crit.

The part I was refering to when I said it was deserved was the fine, just so to make it clear.
And I don't think HTC pulled him out as a punishment. Like SN and Doddy said, next two stages don't suit him and this was a great opportunity to pull off a nice little PR stunt.

Please, be reasonable.
He's much worse than Ricco (except for the positive test of course)

How very British, we blame people for being losers, we also blame them for being winners - and knowing their good.
There are many people with big heads in Sport, and i'm sure every country has at least 1, probably more.
Time to get off the high horse guys, this guy is good, and he knows it. You don't like that? - Turn off your TV.
