Tour of Belgium stage 5

1. Greipel
2. Kruopis
3. Paolini

Van Hummel got a penalty for using his elbow to get in the 2nd place.

In other news, Pozzato fell and broke his collarbone.

Bayern Rundfahrt - Stage 5

1. Nizzolo
2. Degenkold
3. Hagen

With this podium Hagen gets the points jersey. Impressive results from Sky today concerning they had only 5 riders at the start today ( including Hagen ). 2 stage wins, 3 podiums and an Overall GC. Sky must be happy.

First professional win for Nizzolo in his career?
Great talent IMO.

Gilbert won the Tour of Belgium G.C. after Greipel won the last stage.

Meanwhile, the Boucles de l'Aulne (1.1) (my "home" race, though I was 250 km farther) took place this afternoon :

1. Martijn Keizer (Vacansoleil)
2. Anthony Delaplace (Saur-Sojasun)
3. Anthony Charteau (Europcar)
4. Jonathan Hivert (Saur Sojasun)
5. Cyril Gautier (Europcar)
6. Steven Tronet (Roubaix – Lille Métropole)
7. Yohann Gene (Europcar)
8. Yohan Cauquil (La Pomme Marseille)
9. Julien El Farès (Cofidis)
10. Rémi Pauriol (FDJ)

A 25 men group went out very early, with almost all teams represented, so nobody chased for a while. Eventually Roubaix chased and almost came back, but a group of 2, and another of 3 escaped from the 25 men group, the five bunched, and Delaplace went solo with 8 km to go but was eventually caught up again. Then Keizer attacked with 1 km to go (it's all uphill to the finish, which is held in front of my former high school, with some smooth cobbles at the bottom), and made it to the finish.

Much deserved after his amazing performance at AToC. To avoid confusion it was Ted King from Liquigas, not Ben from Shack on 3rd.

Isn't there also a Benjamin King who isn't related to Ben King the former Nat Champ.

There is, he's on Team Type 1, and I think he's Australian. Wink

Deserved for Busche. He's in a great shape. Smile

Anybody know if there's any live coverage of the Tour of Luxembourg prologue this evening, even just a live ticker?

Thanks Il Grillo.

Cancellera wins, Gaudin (EUC) takes second by the looks of it.

Cancellara had no competition today. Great results by Gaudin though and Hayman surprised too. Cancellara top favourite to win the Tour now with closest rival on 14th Andreas Kloden.
