Insane gap for Lutsenko, I assume the AI let down the chasing group there. Adds an extra challenge in the mountains.
Quite annoying bad luck for Shikai though.

It doesn't matter who, if from our or other team. Het Nieuwsblad / Quickstep tradition allows them to always perform amazingly well
Nice to see Lutsenko win after his effort for Lijke yesterday, Crommy should be happy!
Why would Crommy be happy?
Because of Bablidze, I guess

Stancu clearly not strong enough to count in the GC here

Thanks for the guesses. Sure, it was a tough one
Hate to see those dropped group sitting up, but at least they did limit the losses a bit, eventually. Haig losing further minutes ain't cool, but may end up seeing him in in breakaways soon. Reis/Shikai truly with another shocker, especially Reis ain't looking too "interested" so far.. Shikai though.. well, expressed my feelings already.

Olivier in first is good.
Would be more poised about Krieger dropping if it was a real Sprint. So I do not care too much. But actually this never should have gone to the break. |

Wow, on one hand it's good that the peloton splits due to crosswind, but it's rather annoying that the dropped groups/riders just sit up. Definitely a strong breakaway as they held up when the small peloton gave it full gas, and pretty cool to see Altur win. A future potential great cobbler from Spain! Congratulations, Mresuperstar!
Holst Enger seems to find his way being "up there" fighting against the best sprinters. Hopefully we'll have a proper sprint on stage 6.
Thanks for nice reporting so far, tsmoha.

Altur!
Didn't expect anything out of this race, then our future cobbler shines. First stage win of what should be a great career.
Too bad the team lost Reis, but that's Gustavovskiy guy.

Cool to see Olivier staying in the leaders group on a stage like this where a lot of GC guys lose their ambitions.
Krieger should have been positioned better but as long as we don't lose both Olivier & Krieger on a stage like this it is okay. Hopefully, Krieger gets another chance later in the tour...
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

God, from bad to worse. After Adam getting my hopes up on the Mur, that was absolutely dreadful. Maybe that'll allow him the possibility of stage hunting or something, but it'll probably just make him even more anonymous.

God I love Bablidze. He's so aggressive all the time. Nice to see Barguil doing well

Hmm, Boros delivers another nice surprising result, nice to see that! Vesely was again solid. And in addition to that Cerny tops a great day for the Czech cycling. I already can't wait till all these young Czechs are maxed out!

I feel extremely fortunate, this far! Lecuisinier and Vasyliv in constant awareness to stay out of trouble, and Vasyliv moving up a spot in the GC because of the split. It sucks that some of the GC guys have lost so much time already. I hope they can claw back with a stagewin or something like that (mountains jersey fx.).
Coquard did reasonably well again, which is nice - But he clearly can't compete with the best.
Fun fact: 9 riders riding in the Festina jersey in this race. 5 are assigned to Festina on normal. 5 Festina riders finished in the front group - None of the loanies did
Fantastic to have two stages in one day! I got really happy when I checked in before going to sleep. Amazing job!

Good job by Cerny, finaly showing ourselves. Still, getting 2nd here does feel a bit bad if you're the fastest of the breakaway.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not so good to see Galta and Shikai losing time today. Just a terrible race for Shikai, while Galta can at least commit fully to supporting Kirsch now.

Okay, just caught up, thanks for the nice reporting Tsmoha.
Zmorka 3rd in prologue is good. Not great, because he was top favourite, but podium is still big success for us.
Grosu very disappointing so far, dropping in stages that should suit him. I wonder if he listened to the media speculation about him most likely staying in PCT instead of PT loan, so he is not so keen to show himself. Hopefully he can bounce back and fight for some stage win.
G.A. Stancu also not showing great form so far, it seems that top25 is maximum he can fight for in tougher stages.
We will need some team talk soon, this is not what i want to see from our talents.
Thanks a lot Rjc_43 for supporting us!

Looking forward to this race for pretty much a year, knowing Shikai would be one of the strongest and this has to happen. For once I thought maybe I'd have a race pleasantly surprise me in terms of results, or have my riders atleast perform to their abilities. There aren't even any points for this race, but it was probably one of the few races I would have especially wanted to win (that was possible) this season. Oh well, this is basically how my entire season has been going, so I guess it had to continue here. Thanks for the reports!

Have I seen any of my riders yet? Nope...
I hoped Wohler and Orlov would've made it in the break by now, and Shaquille clearly isn't strong enough. Golovash did well in the prologue, but he doesn't have the power to deliver outside of tts yet.
