Gentlemen, Roturn, my hats off to you.
Great work in reporting, and to be honest, it's just like a return to reporting of old - just facts short and sweet.
Brilliant to see Scarponi holding it in the front group still (even though Tinkoff is getting free publicity )

Outstanding work, roturn, really bringing the game forvward. And great riding by Jaramillo!
For the GC, it will hopefully go down to the time trial, but there is no doubts Amador is the favourite right now, thanks to his time trial abilities. Congratulations on the stage win!

We seriously needs to throw this game into the bin. Sooner rather than later. Impressive that you reporters can keep writing anything about these shitloads of attacks that never does anything at all.
High sprint stat + mediocre climber = good race. High climb stats - high sprint stat = low end top 10.

Damn, how amazing would that have been to take bonus seconds on a sprint stage...
But at least this basically secures second place in the sprint classification, points very much needed with Pendleton's looking to achieve the same in the KoM and B&O in the U25.

While i agree that PCM 12 is hardly to be beaten in nonsense riding, wait for next year to see unfuctional stats (sorry Alakagom but i doubt it will be ver fixed even if you wrote it thousand times, since money are already in the pockets) and always the same riders attacking at foot of the last climb in totally predictable racing.

I never said we should move to a newer version - If they don't work, then we should move back to the previous version in my oppinion.

I've been playing PCM13 the "ManGame-style" for a while now and imo it's quite okay. Strange things happen from time to time, of course, but it's better than 12.. The most annoying thing is still the peloton sitting up once the first 10-15 riders made their attacks, and of course the useless RES-stat, even though i don't know if that's a real problem when you only play as with a control team. I'm pretty satisfied with the results i got, but it's a completely different database. We will see, but imo it ain't as bad as my mate Avin predicted For example, i can't agree with the easy to predict stages. I once tried the same stage with the same GC-situation, playing it several times to test both the DB and the stage itself, and i was pretty surprised about the whole different but still "realistic" results.
But then again, its Cya, so don't expect "perfect" results everytime

I'm with tsmoha on this. PCM13, not as bad as you might think.
For starting insight check out EPIC. Using the same style and the results are pretty decent. Can only think of one odd one, and that was a break in a stage race, so actually not that odd.
I've also done some stuff like this with PCM13. Ok the favorites pretty much always attack at the bases of a major climb, but then again i've seen plenty of outsiders go early, and even main favorites go early (as in still a climb just not the last one). Sprints seem pretty good following the patches, with the break being caught at least 75% of the time. ITT's and TTT's havn't changed, good stats will bring a good result.
Cobbles are different, but still you get the top guys at the head of the race almost every time.
I think it will be better than PCM12 was. PCM12's racing was fairly close to broken in the mountains and hills. But flat and cobbles are pretty much fine.
Mountains and Hills have been fixed up and now work. Flat and cobbles still work. Will be interesting to see exactly how the Man-Game stats work though, RES taken out, ACC changed and more need for HL on the flat. Should be fun... for most

Well, we will unfortunately see the outcome not sooner than some months into the new season (when the change is not reversible), or we would need big testing with MG database, which is quite specific to Daily DB or others.
I believe what you are saying guys, but i remember almost exactly same word being said about PCM12, which was okay for singleplayer after the patches, but we all see how it copes with the MG. And there were all stats functional and breakaway bug was not present...
But i am 100% sure the PCM13 will be used, as Rin said, newer engine is always gladly used (and also i see some of the reporters as defenders of 13 gameplay)...so this is just a talk without consequences.
So i can only hope it will be good for the MG. What i fear the most is that only strongest riders will have chance to any success through "normal racing" as once the favourites attack, others usually sit up (much more than in PCM12 from my testing), while others will have their chances through strange breaks that are not chased.
But i am probably too pesimistic. I think PCM13 is just piece of trash where more things are broken than fixed, which stopped me from playing the series completely, thus my opinion. Still there is big group of people who see it as great game, so we have obviously different measures of good or broken.
If the call was mine, i would go to PCM11 if not further back...

If i had to choose from 10 to 13, i would also go back to 11, Avin and just like i said, the peloton with still some favorites sitting up is awful, really don't get why they kept this "bug" in 13. And tbh, i didn't know 12 before the ManGame started the new season, but know i know the newest engine and think it's better, while far from being great though So, to conclude and stop "spamming" in the wrong thread, imo it's playable for the ManGame, maybe we have to adjust some stats, which should take some time, but which ain't impossible imo
Oh, and i'm speaking as a quite pessimistic person in general, just check the Avenir-thread

That was another successful stage for us, I can't ask for anything more than breakaway participation. Hopefully we can do that once again on stage 11. |

Hmpff...no need to allow Martin into the podium fight, guys.
Especially as VDB had a headstart into the climb.
Shitty AI probably dropped him back into the group after everything merged instead of going dot to stay in front.
So it's a 77 TTer versus 73 versus 75 versus 74.
Who would've thought that daily form in the TT could be decisive after 11 stages?

So stats of interest (FL, TT, RES, REC):
| Amador | 70 | 77 | 74 | 79 | | Martin | 70 | 73 | 78 | 77 | | VDB | 74 | 75 | 74 | 75 | | Machado | 73 | 74 | 74 | 74 |
Machado should've saved energy with his higher mountain stat.
Apart from Amador, it's going to be very close.

Well I'm nervous but confident that Amador should seal this up in the TT. Great reports roturn, its refreshing to get back into a regular schedule!

To summarize on the mountains:
Rider 1 attacks. He is caught.
Rider 1 attacks again with rider 2. Both are caught.
Rider 2 attacks, bringing up Rider 1 - Both are caught, this time by a shitty rider.
Rider 1 attacks. He gets a gap. And seconds later, he's caught.
Rider 2 attacks, but doesn't get away.
Rider 1 attacks. Nothing.
Rider 3 sprints from 2km to the line. He wins by 30 seconds in a group consisting of 2-5 riders (Rider 4-8). Rider 1 and 2 loses 30-45 seconds.
Awesome.

Well better than CYM4 eh?
Riders 1, 2, 3 and 4 attack and stay away from the peloton.
Favourites 1, 2 and 3 attack and catch the riders before.
They wheelin' they get hatin' from 5km to 1km all other the schtreet.
Sprint of 7 at the finish whilst a lot of other favourites stay behind and lose a lot of time

No good from Jaramillo there, but it was kind of expected that he would go from performances above expectations to performances below expectations.
Nice to see Stake Laengen find his way to the breakaway, and Topchanyuk did well to defend his 5th in the young riders competition. |

Two straight stage wins, cannot complain at all. Sella possibly should have been higher up the GC but given the mountains were not decisive enough I will take a glorious stage win similar to the Giro.
Great work once again roturn.
