The race
While Milano-San Remo is raced today, we are still in Croatia. Today we finish uphill once again. This means we will probably get a scenario that is very similar to yesterday.
8 riders manage to break away today. Spengler, Bodnar and Sorensen the most important riders. At KoM1, Spengler secures the polkadots.
The pack is lead by Bontrager, Jamis and Palmeiras.
The lead maxxes to 5min09. Sorensen now drops from the lead group due to a puncture.
Spengler is also in the lead at KoM2.
The sprint is won by Bodnar.
KoM3 again for the polkadots. He is having a very good form at the moment.
A group of 5 riders breaks from the pack: Selander, Norris, Blikra, Pedersen and Pellaud.
5kms left: Blikra up front, 25sec ahead of the group. The pack at more than 2min.
Final km: Blikra leads the sprint of 12 riders.
Victory for
This is expected when Mourey become world champion. It has failed to do this year, why not next year Hoogerheide ? Pedersen. 2nd is Blikra, 3rd Norris. Pellaud is 9th. Pedersen takes over GC. Blikra is the best young rider.
The final stage of the Istrian Spring Trophy, and it is flat. The GC and KoM are probably decided, but we will see what will happen today.
At KoM1, a group of 4 riders has taken a minute: Freiberg wins ahead of Santamaria, Schiewer and Piamonte.
No battle at sprint 1.
The break of the day eventually consists of 10 riders. The 4 mentioned before are joined by Stuyven, Dvorsky, Vorre, Miller, Sutterlin and Pereira.
The pace in the pack is made by Optum and 5Hour Energy.
The pack lets the lead grow to a maximum of about 4min30.
No battle at sprint 2 and 3.

Today, we don't have high exspectations. Even though the race is called flat, some hills are on the way. The winner should still be a sprinter, but a break is eager to change that. The wind might also play a role.
Our break of the day consists of 4 riders: Acevedo (Jamis), Lammertink (Jo Piels), Flotten (Joker) and Loutit (Scott-Tissot).
The pace in the pack is set by Europcar, Sojasun, De Rijke and Sean Kelly.
At KoM1, Acevedo beats Loutit and Flotten.
At KoM2, Loutit beats Acevedo and Lammertink.
At sprint 1, the same result as KoM2.
The pack lets the lead grow to a max of 8min32.
At the final KoM, Flotten beats Loutit and Lammertink, meaning Loutit will be the first KoM of this tour.
At sprint 2, the same result as sprint 1. The lead here, with 33,5kms left, is still 2min32.
The breakaway is reeled in 13kms from the line. We will now prepare for the mass sprint.
Victory for Chavanel. He beats Eeckhout and Ewan, who had a really high speed, but was blocked in the beginning. Grenda secures a 9th spot. The GC lead is for Eeckhout, as well as the points. Ewan is the best -25 rider and nr4 in the GC.
