Nice second by Theo, but I wonder how you get that result up in letters here at forum?

Export the results from the game and copy them from Excel to here.

Added to the last report. The GC has not changed in the high places, so I don't really feel the need to post it again.

Stage 1: Tour du Haut Var:

Stageprofile:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0012Var.jpg

Our startlist:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0013Var.jpg

Today is the first stage of the 2-day race Le Tour du Haut Var! We are looking forward to it and we will try to get a win and a good GC in this tour!
The day starts with a lot of small, but fierce climbs at the beginning. Lots of riders try to escape! Eventually a group gets away. Names:

S. Casar
M. Morkov
R. Taaramae
A. Amador
A. Geniez

Geniez looked to be in a classic ‘chaz-patat’, as he was about 2 and a half minutes behind the first group and 3 minutes in front of the peloton. But eventually he joins the BOTD. Great job by the Argos-rider, but he must’ve lost a lot of energy doing so.
The peloton doesn’t seem to come much closer, so with 30kms to go Seeldraayers goes into the attack!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0015Var.jpg

We hoped he was able to join them, but he just can’t get that last minute back! It seems like the peloton is giving up, they won’t make it. But they do increase the pace. Westra also tries to attack and just when the peloton starts to sprint he’s in a good position and comes in 1st of the peloton. Seeldraayers couldn’t make it unfortunately… he loses 59 seconds on the BOTD. In the leading group are lots of attacks in the last few seconds, but Morkov is definitely the smartest! He doesn’t waste his energy with these attacks and he takes the win home in the uphill sprint! Great result for him! Sandy Casar takes the mountain jersey for tomorrow. Second place goes to Amador, and third place goes to Geniez!

Bob Rasenberg is the coach leading us in this race. A short statement from him:

Comment from Rasenberg (VVV-Venlo Pro Cycling coach):
“we are not unhappy with this stage. Two riders in the top 10 is not too bad. Unfortunately the BOTD didn’t get caught, because the initial plan was to let Westra try and win the sprint. We are looking forward to tomorrow!”

Stage 2: Tour du Haut Var:

Stageprofile:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0030Var2.jpg

Our startlist:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0031Var2.jpg

After the tactics discussion this morning, I only had one thing to say to our riders:

If you’re going through hell, keep going. – Winston Churchill

They know what to do, and when it gets tough they just have to push it, keep going! I hope this will help a tiny bit, haha. Probably not but hey, it’s worth a shot! Again a BOTD gets away. But in this morning’s team discussion we decide we will try to get Vanmarcke in the BOTD in an attempt to get the KOTM-jersey. He’s being supported by our first VVV-fan next to the road!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0032Var2.jpg

He gets away and takes a lot of mountain points. Other names in the BOTD:

E. King
R. Sutherland
B. Kadri

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0034Var2.jpg

Meanwhile Levarlet has some problems staying on his bike in the peloton. No major damage though.

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0033Var2.jpg

Vanmarcke is now almost certain of the KOTM-jersey. When he finishes first at the highest category mountain he’s certain! Another (small) success for VVV-Venlo Pro Cycling!

Meanwhile Astarloza and Gautier have attacked out of the peloton and are about to join the BOTD. Vanmarcke knows he won’t make it so he lets himself drop out of the BOTD. The other guys in the BOTD are empty aswell and Astarloza and Gautier continue on their own.
It's about 20kms left when Westra goes into the attack! He gets de Waele with him.

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0037Var2.jpg

As you can see, they quickly get to the two leaders. But then Ballan and Roche attack aswell! De Waele gets dropped now! They also join Westra. Westra continues to follow them and they start the last (really tough) uphill sprint finish! Roche is undoubtedly the strongest of the three and he takes the win! What a show of power from Nicolas Roche!
Ballan is still really strong aswell and he takes the 2nd place, with the same time as Roche. Westra gets the 3rd place for the team! He loses 15 seconds on the front two.

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0038Var2.jpg

Vanendert finishes in 4th place with the same time as Westra. The others follow 25 seconds behind Vanendert and Westra. Seeldraayers manages to maintain his top 10 GC position! Good result for him!

Final top 10 GC:

Comment from Rasenberg:
“A good result for us in this year’s Tour du Haut Var! It’s a pity we couldn’t catch the breakaway yesterday, but we still got two guys in the top 10 of the GC and we got the KOTM-jersey with Sep! Still I feel like we could’ve done better. We’ll have to work on our performance, never get complacent! That can kill your performances! Nevertheless we are satisfied with this result.”

Sure if you want to, any riders you'd like the stats of?Smile
Thanks for the comments by the way! Really motivating! I'm now back on scheme by the way, no more reports to do, only racing! As i wanted to finish Oman first before I made the other reports. I don't want it to get messy.

Stage 1: Vuelta a Andalucia

Stageprofile:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0044andal1.jpg

Our startlist:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0045andal1.jpg

The Vuelta of Andalucia of 2012 starts with a short prologue. Just 6kms long! We are thinking that –seeing the fitness- Sanchez and Vaitkus can do a good job for us, maybe a top 10?
Here’s the startplace today:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0046andal1.jpg

I will report on the race all of our riders individually. Starting with the worst time of our team up to the highest time of our team!

Sander Bos:
He has the worst time of our team today, but he still did a pretty good job. He’s only 19 years old, so he has to learn a lot. He is a great cobbling talent but he’s not a really good prologue rider, so this is a OK result from him. He takes place 74 with 28 seconds behind the winner.

Karsten Kroon:
an awful prologue rider aswell. He has low fitness and we didn’t expect him to do a good job at all, so the quite low ranking is not a surprise for us. He takes place 62 with 27 seconds behind.

Eros Capecchi
he’s the next of our team. He rides a fairly decent prologue, this gives us hope for the rest of the race. He will be an important rider for us. He takes place 31 with 19 seconds behind the winner.

Richie Porte:
normally Richie is a big favorite in a prologue like this, but due to his awful fitness we didn’t expect anything from him. But due to a good form he finishes 17th with 13 seconds behind the winner.

Ian Stannard
Stannard is a good prologue rider, so we expected atleast a top 20 from him. He did a good job taking the 12th place today, only 11 seconds behind the winner! He proves to be a strong rider for our team already!

Luis Leon Sanchez:
Luis Leon
is the second best rider of our team today. He’s our main man for the GC and he doesn’t disappoint us in the prologue! He takes the 4th place with 8 seconds behind today’s winner.

Tomas Vaitkus:
Tomas did a very good job today, he was one of the first riders to start today and his time was on the board for a very long time! He had to sit on the hot seat for atleast 2 hours! He takes the 2nd place eventually, with 7 seconds behind the winner. Still a good result for him!

3rd place goes to Michael Matthews, with 7 seconds behind the winner aswell. The winner today is Manuele Boaro! He’s a great prologue rider and surely had a great form today as he rode a very impressive prologue! He’ll be starting in the leader’s jersey tomorrow!

Still there’s a small success for our team, taking the best team overall GC! We sent Vaitkus onto the stage as he had the best time of our team today! He surely enjoyed it!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0047andal1.jpg

Comment from Abdoujaparov:
“we are happy with the result today! We are confident that Luis Leon can ride a good GC here in Andalucia and this prologue is a nice step to that goal! We are a bit unlucky that Boaro had such a great form today, otherwise we might’ve won! We’re confident for tomorrow!”

Exciting news today for the Cyclingfans!

A new research on the skills of cyclists has just been finished. The scientists succeeded in putting the attributes of every rider of a particular team in a chart!
Just by reviewing races and with some very hard formulas they have made a chart of the VVV-Venlo Pro Cycling team.
This team has just started as a new team in the cycling world. Due to their good results many people wondered how the attributes of these riders would be.
The team allowed the scientists to watch the trainings of the team aswell.
Clearly this is a scientific breakthrough, but it took the scientist about 2 months to figure out this formula. If people like the chart there might be more to come!
The scientists are trying to develop a new formula that determines the potential of young riders!

The chart of VVV-Venlo Pro Cycling team:

Thanks for the comments, had to come up with something to work the stats in and I think I succeeded, haha.

Stage 2: Vuelta a Andalucia

Stageprofile:

Our Startlist:

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0002andal2.jpg

This was a quiet day. It was a sprinterstage right from the start. The whole peloton just felt it was going to be a sprint today. Still some brave men tried and got into the BOTD:

N. Sörensen
J. Moreno
D. De la Fuente
P. Orengo

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0003andal2.jpg

They got caught pretty fast, about 30kms from the finish. About 15kms till the end of the stage we tried something. Karsten Kroon went into the attack! But the peloton at full speed didn’t give him a chance unfortunately.

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0004andal2.jpg

Into the sprint Vaitkus had problems with keeping up with the trains. He still managed to get a fairly good result in my opinion. He’s surely not the best sprinter around in this field and he managed to get a 6th place for us! Petacchi wins today’s stage. The old soldier does it once again! Rojas finishes in 2nd place, and Felline comes in 3rd!

i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k486/timodesigns1/PCM0005andal2.jpg

Comment from Abdoujaparov:
“We think it’s a quite good start for the sprinting stages in this race. A 6th place is not too bad. We know Tomas is not a great sprinter, so we aren’t expecting great things. Still we will try to get a top 5 next times. He can do better, we know it!”
