Contador didn't seem to be in problems today. That's a good sign. Now hopefully he will be ready for the mountains.

I think you paid very little attention to that crash, but luckily it seemed that only Wim van Huffel of the important riders got involved...
Contador up one spot...
Now 3 crucial days for Contador! Please please be ready!!!

Excellent report there - I was sure Haussler was just going to pip him.
Good to see (not) Valverde chasing after sprint points. |

Have been doing some midway calculation for my own fun. And eventhough this Vuelta has been a huge dissapointment, closing towards dissaster I haven't lost half the touch I would've expected.
Obviously I'm going to lose tons on the overall GC, but neither Lipton, nor Sony Ericsson or Domina have been able to outscore me by more than 100 points or so... Auber is doing very well, but eventhough they do well, and Contador have been crashing I should still be able to take some points from them in the GC...
Vesuvio is taking a great jump, as are Starbucks, Pearl and Carmeuse to some extend. Teams that suit my plans perfectly!
In the overall I would love the GC to be something like this:
1. BeƱat Intxausti
2. Alejandro Valverde
3. Ruben Plaza
4. Jose Rujano
5. Andy Schleck
6. Vladimir Karpets
7. David Arroyo
8. Yuri Trofimov
9. Alberto Contador
10. Andrei Amador
If my dream can come true, then I will still be able to make a shot for top 2 Pro Tour. Sony is a lost case for me now.

Yeah well I suppose that was why, so of course no need to put huge attention on it :-)
Will you post the first mountain stage today?

Sorry, my laptop has started rebooting every 15 minutes so I haven't been able to post stages. All stages have been played, and as today was the last day of term I can go back home tomorrow and post 2-3 a day until it's done.

Neither can I. But it's the wishful thinking. Also that Brajkovic doesn't take a top 10

I don't think I can be tortured. I already lost all interest in this race after Contador lost 8 minutes. It's all about damage control now, so anything I get is good...

Don't be sorry - there was nothing you could do about it. Glad it wasn't anything serious. |

9 seconds off the lead now...things looking good for Valverde even though his manager is doing his best to jinx him. |

Struggling in the sprints is predictable against Valverde - could have done with out that extra 7 second deficit though

Wow those time gaps are worthless! 1 minute between the what? 15 best riders? I need atleast 3 for Contador to stand a chance at entering the top 10. Madrazo went up a bit, as did Contador. Can't be unhappy with that. Hopefully I will have 2 guys in top 20 after the next stage. I have a hard time seeing how I should get anyone in top 10 though unfortunately...
