Australia I feel are in a bit of a transition phase at the moment.
They are just getting used to a new qualification process in which they went ultra defensive away from home and battering ram at home. Australia also have been developing their domestic league, in which I guess they would like to be able to draw the bulk of their squad from. Hoping also that this will give them some strength in depth, which is badly lacking. This follows the US, Japan and Korean model.
I also see a distinct lack of real talented younger players - Lucas Neill, Craig Moore, Scott Chipperfield, Harry Kewell all to me represent players who were much much better players 4 years ago.
Anyway looking forward to seeing France vs Mexico. What will Domenech do is intriguing we are hearing some strange formations mentioned. The questions will be asked of Argentina is the first match too? |

This is a rather good euphemism.

Hehe, yes Domenech been looking to the sky again. The hunchback villian (ribery) will play the central role it seems.
Argentina exposing South Korea a little I see. South Americans again in the goals and looking good. |

Woow what a terrific interplay started by Messi and headed into the net by Higuain.
Argentina just rock!

Argentina - North Korea was a veritable feast for our eyes. That's clear, Argentina are ready to rumble. Just watch out the central defence, which might likely fail to hold on

Argentina weren't that convincing most of the game, but Messi sure was But i guess once he got them started everyone started playing well and attacking in 4s and 5s. Good to see some goals anyway. |

So why wasn't Aguero starting?
Damn, he fits 100x better with Messi than Tevez.
The combinations between Aguero and Messi were magic |

Uh?? Messi didnt play that well. He showed a couple of stuff, no more. All the players started the pace and stood it. That was deeply a collective win!

Are you kidding whatsup?
Messi played fucking fantastic.
No player even comes close to single player performance this world cup so far.

That world cup has showed nothing yet.. Messi started playing well as Tevez was sent off and Aguero came on. Messi did not play that well - cqfd

I definately disagree, Messi already played well from the start. His actions are always good, his shots have almost all been on goal, the keeper had some good saves.
He is a constant threat and played very well the ENTIRE match |

Messi only showed up strong at the end, so now you're considering he had played very well the whole match. Thanks to Aguero

It is debatable how well he played the whole game. Argentina seemed to be outsmarted by Korea in the first half. But Messi was always one step ahead of everyone on the pitch and gave them the spark they needed to run away with the game. |

QED is better
Agüero did play very well : Messi+Higuain+Agüero made me forget there was Milito and Tévez on the bench
Time for a bit of humour

Great sonata
I can't believe that I've now heard two different english commentators pronounce Higuain as Hig-wane. How naïve can you be? Come on, it's your job surely to at least know people's names, which obviously covers correct pronunciation. And they still haven't worked out that Mascherano's not German. |

I personally think that Messi needs Tevez to play that well. This last one is an absolute poison for the adverse defense, he's always running, always calling, he pulls players to him, he's a real bull. Messi is great for sure, but I'm pretty sure that he wouldn't be that great without the work of Tevez too... |
