French champion Sylvain Chavanel shattered the leading group in a thousand pieces up the Bosberg, and left everyone in the dust with an attack of insane strength. Thor Hushovd and Juan Antonio Flecha completed the podium. Veelers' 7th place was way above expectations.
The course:
I totally forgot to replace the old route with the new one, so it's the 2011 version once again. On the positive side, we get to enjoy the Muur and the Bosberg instead of the easier Oude Kwaremont + Paterberg double header as the decisive last climbs. Nothing more needs to be said, you know the route.
Project squad:
Just like in all the previous paved classics, it's Boom will be our top man. With help from riders like Curvers, De Backer and recent GW winner Docker we have hope in possibly even topping last year's surprising result, and enter the Top 5.

The most consistent one of the top names has so far been Björn Leukemans. Therefore the Belgian will start here as the big favourite, together with Fabian Cancellara and defending champion Sylvain Chavanel. I'm also warning for two riders we haven't seen in any of the classics so far, namely the Italians Filippo Pozzato and Enrico Franzoi. Not to forget is also Thor Hushovd.

Amazing results in the earlier classics, amazing how many times you go into successful breaks and almost make it. You should teach us to play PCM properly, like you
Good luck for Ronde, with your skills I'd say a win is possible  But a podium or a Top 5 would be great too.
BTW Oude Kwaremont + Paterberg is actually much harder, according to the riders so far. Many riders has done a reconnaissance of the course and it's became more like Ardenees Classics race rather than Cobbled one with few hills.

And I didn't know the new route was that hard. Good to know.
