WUT?! How is Vasquez this shit, I'll never know. Worst hiring of the season. Period.
Well, 64 HI ain't too breath taking, to be fair This brutal slopes at the finish, i guess, made for some tough gap decisions, too.

Yap, a damn close one for Stoenchev there. He had simply nothing left to give in the end, but at least Ewan showed signs of strength

Thus ends Bonsucro's week of hell.
But, hey, it can only get better! |

It has been a pretty great first week for us like look:
Stage 1 - 4th (Robert Sweeting)
Stage 2 - 7th (Robert Sweeting)
Stage 3 - 6th (Robert Sweeting)
Stage 4 - 14 - 20 (TTT)
Stage 5 - 9th (Rodas)
Stage 6 - 8th (Gaimon)
Stage 7 - 1st, 4th, 8th (Sweeting, Gaimon, Di Gregorio)
Overall GC - 8th, 10th (Gaimon, Rodas)
Overall KOM - 1st (Rousseau)
not gonna lie , i was worried as hell at the beginning of the year about sending all my good riders to this race, but it seems to have payed off! |

Sweeting is flying looked good in all stages Thorsen still had a monster ride in this stage IMO to only get dropped on the top of the final climb. |

First time this year I remember Vasquez doing something useful. Hopefully, he can still reach top 10. Oh wait. |

Worried by the AI. Seems to have picked out Georgiev as our primary option now. I'd rather it be Sarmiento but if Georgiev can keep this level of performance up i might let it slide. Good to see Cayetano getting active but he needs a tougher day to make it work. At least we are actually picking up consitent points in a race for the first time in forever

Txurruka's climb in the GC has started. Good stage for him. Let's hope he can continue that!

Damn right.
Txurruka with his best performance of the season so far right there, super aggressive display. Up a good 20+ places, just like that, to the top15. Hoping for ginormous time gaps in the following mountain stages, for obvious reasons!
Great report there tsmoha, my favourite of the race so far, and not just because Txurruka did so well. What is with 3rd place, that is our fourth out of 8 stages!
Great start to week 2. |
