I would hate that scenario, really! Hopefully yellow jersey does not gives so big wings as gives Red Bull to their great time trialists.
I was joking
Now safely survive last stage and first season goal is done!

12th on GC isn't too bad for Reus here. Bit disappointed to see Posthuma win the stage and Reus do badly by comparison though as they're quite similar.
Thanks for fast paced and quality reporting FroomeDog |

That really went disappointing...
GC 10th, 17th, 18th seems solid in the end.
But how bad was that ITT result?
Schädlich behind Mottin, Steensen, Bonnet was probably a bad form.
Boom that late must be a bad form.
Dumoulin was okay.
So at least solid GC points but no single stage top10 is a huge disappointment.
Not too unhappy with the points in the end, but had hoped for a bit more before the ITT report.
And 4th in team rankings quite unlucky as well.
Thanks for the nice and fast reports, froomedog.

I'd have taken 5th on GC before the tour started, in fact I'd have bitten your arm off. Of course it could have been better but the short TT normalises the top end of the chrono guys a bit. Given that I sent only my second best TT man here then that is what I get. We got a few top 10's on stages also so a nice little earner, obviously well behind Becharovka and Pokerstars but still about what I had hoped for I think.
Fiedler was well down which is a surprise.

Thanks for fast and nice reporting, Froomedog!
This was absolutely amazing race for my team, bringing about 600(?) points on our account. Definitely better result I was ever hoping for!
I believe Becherovka will be satisfied as well, right Roman?

Great to get another podium result. Pretty lucky for us so far, can't complain on that side of things.
Congrats to the winner. It's good to see Boonen could make up for that late puncture on stage 5.
Also thanks for the fast reports Froomie
Also rain in Qatar? PCM knows nothing about meteorology!

Thanks for the fast reports, FroomeDog!
For our racing, it's another bad race, but chapeau to Kruijswijk for landing a 24th place overall. Together with Sibilla's aggressive racing, that's the only thing we can take from this year's race in Qatar, as both Van Heerden and Impey were very disappointing. |

Woah, pretty bad results this season for Aker and B&O so far (that's what I could notice, correct me if wrong).
Was great race to follow, FDog. Few good reports there!

Nice to see Li grabbing some points for Wiki here. Always great to see loanees doing well in PT, even though it's more like a lucky result. But this race will ever suit him, so it ain't totally senseless
Congrats, P'stars and B'rovka! Huge race for both.

Congrats to beagle for the win and thanls for the quick reports FroomeDog.
A great race for us with 2 inside the top 10 on GC and 2nd in the team classification. Also a top 30 for Stallaert was unexpected at the start of the race but even more welcome points. We gave got on to the right foot from the start here, so we have to push this on from here!

Scored about 170 points here, which is okay I think.
So in total this is about 30 PPRD so far, which will pretty quickly start to reduce I guess.
As soon as the mountains come. |

Saved by my favorite talent, Koretzky... A really poor Qatar as usual for me. Not since Hushovd was my main rider have I had any sort of succes here. A stagewin is nice.

Dissapointing by Dempster, but seeing a 78TT guy like Boom finish so long down the ranks with Steensen in 5th place must mean that there is some randomness with these short ITTs.
Overall good for us

I think those who went earlier had a bit of an advantage, but the wind speed was pretty constant. Maybe the direction swung around and gave the later starters more of a headwind. |

@beagle Yeah, I was joking as well. I am happy with final results as much as you are. Sergent and Howard could do a little bit better, but they had a good race indeed too. Relegation places should be way behind me now, hopefully I will never come close to that in this season again, you probably as well!
@tsmoha Thanks!

tsmoha you're right, valuable performance from Li and Bookwalter here to get a couple decent GC results. Interesting race, particularly with the wind playing a major role.

Not a good race at all for Swift, but wow Kittel, amazing
So damn close to a first ProTour victory for him, but far more importantly, taking 3rd overall. Against the odds, that is the first sponsor goal (Top 3, Qatar) completed

Nothing noteworthy by Vueling here. Fairly forgetable performance by Kennaugh, but then again, he's not a top-top-top sprinter. |
